The Cannes Film Festival is an annual film festival that honors and showcases the best and top-quality films from all around the world.
It is a celebration of global cinema and the most anticipated event of the year.
The 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival will be held from 17th May 2022 to 28th May 2022 in the heart of the Palais des Festivals, Cannes.
Last year the event was held from 6th July 2021 to 17th July 2021 with Spike Lee as the president. The film 'Titane' by Julia Ducournau was awarded the Palme D'or.
Tom Cruise is expected to return to the Cannes Film Festival thirty years after his last appearance at the festival in 1992 to attend the screening of Ron Howard’s Far And Away.
The 75th Cannes Film Festival would honor the actor with a special tribute. The festival will screen the Tom Cruise movie, 'Top Gun: Maverick'.
The upcoming French film 'Final Cut' directed by Michel Hazanavicius is the opening movie.

The official poster of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival is designed as a tribute to ‘The Truman Show’ with Jim Carrey released in 1998.
The Cannes Film Festival will be screened in French and English in the Palais and on its outdoor screens as well as in hotels on the Croisette. Additionally, France TV, Culture Box, Brut Cannes, YouTube, and the official Festival de Cannes website also broadcast the event.
The Jury president of the Cannes Film Festival 2022:
Vincent Lindon, a French actor is selected as the jury president of the 75th Cannes Film Festival 2022.
At the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Vincent Lindon had won the Best Actor title for the film, 'The Measure of a Man' directed by Stéphane Brizé.
Vincent Lindon has also starred in the 2021 Palme d’Or winning film ‘Titane’ by Julia Ducournau.

Cannes Film Festival has declared that the opening and closing ceremony will be hosted by Virginie Efira, a Franco-Belgian actress.
A festival she knows well since she walked the steps for Victoria, Elle, Sink or Swim, Sibyl, and the sensational film of last year's festival, Benedetta by Paul Verhoeven.
