Indian Idol 13 5th February 2023 Written Update

Today's episode starts with Aditya welcoming Dharmendra Paaji & Mumtaaz on the stage!

For the first time in Indian Idol, the audience gets to witness the royal duo of Bollywood stars Dharmendra and Mumtaz after 50 years.

In black and white video, they recreate their old scene of driving in an open roof car and singing the iconic song 'Mausam'.

Aditya declares all about Mumtaz's achievements while the audience sees pictures of her in the background and Aditya praises Dharmendra as James Bond and seems to be excited to welcome them.

Dharmendra says he feels to have returned home after 50 years and shows how happy he is to meet her and confesses his crush towards Mumtaz.

Himesh says Dharmendra and Mumtaz look more beautiful off screen.

Aditya declares there will be no elimination today so the audience still has full right to vote for the favorite contestants.

The first participant Chirag Kotwal performs on the song 'Kanchi re', he walks towards Mumtaz and romantically gives a rose which to his surprise gets accepted.

Next Chirag dedicates 'Gore raag pe itna gumaan na kar' along with Sonakshi and Dharmendra praises Chirag but advises him not to look scared while performing.

Afterwards, Sonakshi performs on 'Allah yeh ada kaisi' and says that as this is her favorite song.

Mumtaz says hello to Sonakshi's mother and Mumtaz says that Sonakshi is graceful too just like her, as if Mumtaz was dancing in the present situation.

Dharmendra too praises her by telling that he felt as if he went to the past.

Mumtaz gives thanks to Dadaji and Mahmudji for giving her the chance of entering the Bollywood industry.

While she recites her story, the audience can see her old pictures in the background screen. Dharmendra too indulges into those old memories.

Aditya provides a comic relief to make an entry for the next performer Shivam. Shivam performs on the amazing song 'Mausam' and also adds another song ' yeh reshmi zulfein'.

Dharmendra is amazed to see how cool and handsome Shivam has become. Aditya feels jealous for Shivam is getting attention from the special guests.

Shivam then with a request, dances with Mumtaz on 'Ajkal tere mere pyaar ke charche' which provides a comic relief to the audience.

Aditya declares Senjuti as the next performer. She performs on ' Do Ghoont mujhe bhi pila de' and remix it with the song ' Duniya mein.... Monica o my darling' .

Vishal and Himesh joins her too and with all this excitement in the air, Mumtaz declares it to be too beautiful and that she is proud of her. 

The next contestant are Rishi Singh and Bidipta Chakraborty. They perform on 'Ajkal tere mere pyaar ke charche' and add the song' Jay jay shiv shankar' to make the performance more delightful. 

Dharmendra praises how real they were while their performance.

Aditya again asks about Mumtaz 's relationship with Shami ji and she confesses that he proposed her for marriage but as she was too young, she rejected him, but she tells that she still miss him and respects him very much.

Dharmendra too joins her with their party and shooting days.

Then Aditya calls Deboshmita on stage and Mumtaz gets up to stage to welcome her and greets her parents.

She performs on 'Main tere ishq mein' and ends her performance by singing 'Yeh Hai Reshmi Zulfon Ka Andhera'.

Himesh asks Mumtaz and Dharmendra to show their old moment on 'mein tere ishq mein'. Rishi Singh comes up to stage to actually perform for the competition on 'Hum bewafa'.

A clip of Mumtaz's life is shown and audience get to witness about her achievement and her efforts. Mumtaz gets emotional and hugs Dharmendra.

Next Bidipta performs on 'Bindiya Chamke gi' while Mamtaz gives tips of grace to Bidipta for becoming an actress.

Mumtaz also shows her dance step practically and everybody enjoys it.

The next contestant is Navdeep and he performs on 'Main Jay Yamla Pagla' and all the judges along with Mumtaz and Dharmendra gets up to join them on dancing.

The show ends with Mumtaz's romantic life and how all the actors liked her. Aditya questions her about her career life and gets to know new exciting things.

The audience also witness the performance of the week as Senjuti's 'Do Ghoont mujhe bhi pila de' and with that today's show ends.

Indian Idol season 13 today's episode will entertain the audience with a special Indian Idol's girls versus boys, including some special guests.

Aditya says that Dharmendra and Mumtaz are appearing together on television after 50 years.

Another promo for this weekend's Indian Idol season 13 (05-02-2023) shows Aditya appreciating Dharmendra and Mumtaz’s chemistry in the two movies they did that were released in 1973.

Aditya says that Mumtaz has decided to only come to Indian Idol 13 due to the talented singers and hear them live.
