Kathanayagi 5th August 2023 Written Update

The show begins with enthusiastic dancing of the hosts Kuraishi and Bala and they welcome the judges K.S. Ravikumar and Radhika Sarathkumar.

The host announces that the 8 contestants are going to perform in “Raja Rani Round” and eight male artists of Vijay TV will be supporting their performances.

Akshaya:

Akshaya performs as a young woman who mistakes the friendship between her and her colleague to be love and how she handles the situations forms the rest of the plot.

Vasanth says that he sees her only as a friend and he didn’t expect this from her when Akshaya confesses her love.

Vasanth tries to explain the situation to her and Akshaya breaks down emotionally at the end of her performance.

K.S. Ravikumar appreciates her performance and Radhika praises her performance of both Akshaya and Vetri who acted as Vasanth.

Akshaya receives a golden shower for her wonderful performance and the judges present her with the golden crown.

She gets 4.5 out of 5 stars from both the judges and scores a total of 9 stars out of 10.

Rubina & Rubiseena:

Rubina & Rubiseena perform as the twin sisters where the younger one falls in love with the groom fixed for her elder sister.

She pretends to be her sister and invites the groom to her home to confess the love she has for him.

She reveals that she is the younger sister Rubiseena and Vikram feels shocked to know that Rubiseena texted him from Rubina’s mobile.

Rubiseena stays adamant that she wants to marry him and Vikram tries to call Rubina meanwhile she arrives at the scene.

Rubiseena acts that Vikram tried to harass her whereas Rubina believes her and refuses to hear the explanations of Vikram.

Radhika appreciates the performance of the twin sisters they got involved in the characters very well while acting K.S. Ravikumar appreciates that they expressed their emotions very well.

Further Rubina & Rubiseena get 4 stars from each judge and they score a total of 8 stars out of 10.

Shalini:

Shalini acts as a young woman who gets an offer to work at abroad and tries to convey the news to her boyfriend Vicky whereas her boyfriend doesn’t want to leave the country.

Finally, Shalini tears her tickets to Canada and chooses to live with Vicky as she loves him so much.

Radhika says that Shalini should focus on her body language and change it according to the character she plays.

K.S. Ravikumar says that there are many lags in her performance and asks her to perform again without any dialogue. K.S.

Ravikumar appreciates her performance and asks her to make some suggestions.

Shalini gets 3 stars from Ravikumar and 4 stars from Radhika and leaves with a total of 7 stars out of 10.

Pavithra:

Pavithra acts as a young woman who wants to impress her husband in many ways and she takes inspiration from the character played by Radhika in the movie “Oorkaavalan”.

Actor Vinoth Babu acts as her husband and they both perform the scene in a very humorous way.

Pavithra tries to impress her husband by giving him coffee and with some of his favorite dishes meanwhile Vinoth Babu feels extremely sleepy.

Finally, Pavithra gets to know the reason for her husband's sleepiness that it is actually 1 AM in the morning whereas she thinks it’s 5 AM. 

Ravikumar says that forced humor will be portrayed as overacting and gives Pavithra some suggestions to improve her way of acting.

Pavithra scores 3.5 stars from Ravikumar and 3 stars from Radhika and leaves with a final score of 6.5 stars out of 10.

The episode ends with the 8 contestants dancing together on the stage with the judge K.S. Ravikumar which turns out to be a perfect virtual treat.

The trending promo of the Kathanayagi show (05-08-2023) also shows Shalini making her performance with one of the male actors of Vijay TV with an interesting script.

She acts as a wife who gets promoted in her job and wants to leave for Canada whereas her husband refuses to come with her.

K.S. Ravikumar asks her to perform a certain portion of the skit without any dialogue and makes some corrections in her way of performing.
