The story of Kunya Rajachi Ga Tu Rani revolves around a journalist named Kabir and a simple village girl.

Kabir loves his work so much and he is arrogant by nature whereas the female lead is a bubbly, kind-hearted girl who likes to make people smile.

One day, Kabir goes to a village to click some photographs for his media house.

He urges the village people to smile but the village people assume that Kabir is talking about someone named Smile so one of the village people goes to call that person.

This angers Kabir so he starts calling them stupid village people which gets overheard by the female lead who is passing by.

She informs Kabir sternly that they live in the village but they are not village people. She even makes everyone laugh using her hands which surprises Kabir.
