With the onset of the new year, the Colors TV channel is all set to bring a new season of its hit serial Molkki, namely, Molkki 2, whose story revolves around social drama.
The serial is being made under the banner of Balaji Telefilms by the producers Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
Earlier the serial was rumored to be released on the sister channel of Colors, which is Colors Rishtey.

Season 1 of the serial Molkki focused on the social issue of selling a girl child to a man twice her age for marriage who is widower.
The girl sold is called Molkki and the custom got popular among the people with the same name.
In season 2 of Molkki, it is speculated that the story will revolve around a new Molkki (young girl) whose role shall be played by the actress Vidhi Yadav while Ashish Kapoor will play the role of the man marrying her who shall be twice her age.
