MTV Roadies is India’s number one and the longest-running adventurous reality show series which has successfully telecasted its 17 seasons on the channel MTV.

The new Season 18 of Roadies, titled Roadies: Journey in South Africa, also called Roadies: Safar-ing in South Africa will go on air (starting date) on 8th April 2022.

The new season of MTV Roadies is a youth-oriented show, full of thrill, adventure, and excitement.

Roadies new season 18 show was originally created by Raghu Ram, Rajiv Lakshman, and RJ Amit. however, they left the show in 2010 which was taken over by Colosceum Media.

As the title of the show suggests, the destination of Roadies season 18 is in South Africa where the shooting had begin in February 2022.

This is for the first time that Season 1 winner, former gang leader, and mentor-host Ranvijay will not be part of the show.

The famous Bollywood actor Sonu Sood (host) has replaced Ranvijay Singha and will be one-handedly taking the show forward with the contestants as there will be no gang leaders in the season 2022.

The Roadies aspirants have to go through several rounds that include Kaling, group discussions, and the personal interview to be called Roadies contestants.

The selected participants will further be competing against each other by performing certain tasks that will bring out their daring selves, make adrenaline rush through their veins, and test their physical, and mental strengths. 

The contestant who tops all the tasks and lasts till the end is announced as the winner of that season.

In Roadies: Safar-ing in South Africa, several contestants from the previous Roadies seasons will be competing against the new contestants of the show while Sonu Sood will host the show.

MTV’s Roadies is a very popular Indian adventure reality show that attracts most of the youth towards it.  

The TRP ratings of the show has always been very good on average, however, this season the ratings are going to be very tricky.

The makers have changed the outlook of the show with Sonu Sood replacing Ranvijay as the mentor-host who has an insane fan following among the youth audience of Roadies.
