The story revolves around the Hindu mythological story about Satyawan and Savitri and what leads to Savitri deciding to bring back her husband’s life from the grim reaper.

Radha Dharne plays the role of young Savitri.

The story starts with young Savitri, her father, and her stepmother looking at the statue of her late mother.

When Savitri asks her father where the dead people go, her stepmother replies that once a person is dead, they can never come back.

On hearing this, dejected Savitri makes a promise to herself that she will never let anyone close to her die.
