The new format of this season comes with a "Super zone" where the top 5 performers of the week can be placed to escape elimination.

Ananda Gopal sitting in the fifth position chair called the "Dumeel Chair" goes down and replaces him with Chandran.

Today's Super Singer 9 10th December 2022 episode starts with Anchor Priyanka and Makapa giving a stunning entry. 

The anchors announce the week as the continuation of the "Top 20 celebration round" that happened last week.

They welcome the judges Unni Krishnan, Anuradha, Shwetha Mohan and Benny Dayal to the show. They also welcome the contestants to the show. 

To deliver the first performance of the week Prasanna enters the stage and delivers a mesmerizing performance that was enjoyed by everyone. He gets a standing ovation from all four judges and everyone cheers him.

Shwetha announces that Prasanna will surely enter the Super zone. So Nishitha gets down from the Dumeel chair. Prasanna gets placed in Seat number 3.

Then, Benny Dayal and Punya deliver a special performance to entertain everyone. All get carried over by their performances. Shwetha, Anuradha and Unni Krishnan get down the stage to appreciate them.

Lavanya then enters the stage to deliver her performance. The anchors then play a rapid fire with her which ends up in a funny manner. 

She receives a standing ovation from all the judges and Shwetha Mohan gets down the stage and appreciates her. The judges announce that she’ll be placed in the Super zone. She gets seated in seat 4.

Then, Immanuel enters and delivers a melodious performance. He does not get an opportunity to enter the Super zone.

Later, Chandran enters to deliver his performance. He interacts with Priyanka and make so much fun with the anchors. He delivers his performance by playing the guitar which impresses everyone.

He receives a standing ovation from all the judges. He gets seated in Super zone Seat 5.

Aparna then enters the stage to deliver her performance. Makapa makes fun with her. She delivers a melodious performance which was enjoyed by everyone. She does not enter the Super zone.

Later, Unni Krishnan and Sri Nisha deliver a melodious performance that was enjoyed by everyone. 

Pooja Venkat then enters the stage to deliver their performance. She delivers a stunning performance that impresses everyone. She receives a standing ovation from all the judges.

Shwetha gets down the stage and appreciates her. She enters the Super zone and gets placed in Seat number 1.
