Yeh Hai Chahatein Review: A story of a single mother and her struggles

Yeh Hai Chahatein serial Review:

Star Plus’s Yeh Hai Chahatein (YHC) serial is the spin-off of the popular serial, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and presents the story of a single mother Preesha.

YHC serial is produced by Ekta Kapoor but doesn’t manage to bring any unique story and there is also the absence of any surprise element.

Yeh Hai Chahatein stars Abrar Qazi as the male lead while Sargun Kaur Luthra plays the role of the female lead in the serial.

Yeh Hai Chahatein Story:

Yeh Hai Chahatein is the story of a single mother, Preesha who has raised Saraansh single-handedly and has given the love of mother and father both to him.

In the first episode of Yeh Hai Chahatein, it is shown that Preesha is all set to get married to Yuvraj, a greedy man who just needs Saraansh’s trust fund.

Saraansh is the son of Preesha’s elder sister Mahima and Rudraksh’s elder brother Rajeev. Preesha raised Saraansh as she thought Mahima was dead.

Later, Preesha is accused of Rajeev’s murder while Rudraksh marries her to take revenge.

Soon he realizes that Preesha is innocent and starts falling in love with her. Rudraksh also loves Saraansh as his own and does everything for him.

The story progresses with Rudraksh and Preesha declaring their love while Mahima returns from the dead.

She creates trouble for Preesha and also wishes to get Saraansh back for money. Mahima is also a greedy woman and teams up with Yuvraj to get Saraansh.

However, Preesha and Rudraksh create a drama and get Mahima arrested.

The recent story revolves around the return of Sulochana (Rudraksh’s mother) and her son Kabir. Kabir and Sulochana are also after the Khurana property and are using Rudraksh emotionally.

Yeh Hai Chahatein Cast:

YHC Female Lead Actress Sargun Kaur Luthra as Preesha:

Sargun Kaur Luthra is playing the female lead of Dr. Preesha Shrinivasan. She is the adoptive mother of Saraansh but has raised him as her own.

Preesha is a caring and kind-hearted woman and works as a gynecologist. She stays with her parents and feels pained for her sister’s death.

She further starts loving Rudraksh and fights with the world for him.

YHC Male Lead Actor Abrar Qazi as Rudraksh Khurana:

Rudraksh Khurana is initially shown as a spoiled and stubborn man who is a rockstar. Also, he has a wide female fan following which makes him even more proud of himself.

It is later shown that Rudraksh had a painful childhood and his father, Balraj Khurana tortured him to become a rockstar.

Rudraksh learned that Saraansh is his nephew and started loving him like his own son. He also fell in love with Preesha’s lovely nature.

Yeh Hai Chahatein Review:

Yeh Hai Chahatein - YHc brings light to the concept of the struggles of a single mother and how society continues to remind you that you are alone.

Preesha faces difficulties in an effective manner and raises Saraansh with all the love she has.

YHC serial however fails to bring any new element in the storyline. The plot is the same old with twists similar to that of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

The acting of Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi is top-notch. The initial Tashan moments between the couple make the serial even more fun to watch.

Overall YHC- Yeh Hai Chahatein (हिंदी में ये है चाहतें written in Hindi) is an average serial with no surprise element.
