Today's Anupama 16th March 2023 episode starts with Anuj asking Anu why she is wanting to leave them suddenly and presenting with the choice to live with them or Maaya forever.

As Anu stares at Anupama for help, she hands her the chocolates and asks Anu to share them with the family members downstairs.

Anu instantly grabs those chocolates and runs out of the bedroom while Anuj tries to go after her to talk to Anu.

However, Anupama stops Anuj from leaving the room and locks the door, saying she will not let him leave for now.

Anuj asks Anupama what she is trying to do to which Anupama answers that they need to let Anu go away with Maaya as that is the best for her.

Anupama’s words freeze Anuj in shock and he asks Anupama if she just wants him to watch silently as his daughter goes away from him.

Anupama answers with a yes and struggles to face Anuj as he reminds her of her promise that she would convince Maaya into letting Anu stay with them.

Anuj attempts to leave but Anupama does not let him and says that Maaya has emotionally restrained Anu with her words.

Anupama says that they cannot be the same as Maaya and tell Anu that her biological mother is a liar as Maaya matters to her a lot.

Anuj asks Anupama if she wants that he remains silent knowing whatever is happening is wrong and his daughter is being lied to.

Anupama hugs Anuj and says that it is not easy for them to let go but they have to do it for Anu’s happiness as their pleading will tear Anu into two pieces; between them and Maaya.

Anuj starts losing his sanity and asks Anupama if she is doing all that to send Anu away from home because he said that he loves Anu more than her.

Anuj still mumbles what type of mother Anupama is who cannot even put up a fight for their daughter and is perfectly fine with letting her go.

Anupama asks Anuj not to call Anu “his” daughter but Anuj asks her why he should not do so as Anupama does not even consider Anu as her real daughter.

Hearing Anuj’s words, Anupama sheds tears and tells him that no mother is fake in this universe and their love is always selfless.

Anuj says that Anupama is incredibly selfish and thinks about herself.

Anupama feels a pang in her chest but understands that Anuj is emotionally wrecked currently.

She wipes away Anuj’s tears and tells him that the harsh reality is that Anu wants to go with Maaya and they cannot do anything to stop that.

While Anu shares her chocolates with Pari downstairs, Anuj and Anupama come downstairs and Maaya tells Anupama that she has already booked the flight for her and Anu.

Anupama announces that Anu will go with Maaya as it is Anu’s choice and they do not want to push her to change it.

Maaya thanks Anupama for her wise decision and says that she will let Anu talk to them frequently and send her here sometimes for which Anupama thanks her blankly.
