Today's Anupama 20th March 2023 episode starts with Anupama getting lightened up on hearing that Devika has decided to marry Dheeraj and hugs her immediately to congratulate her.

Anupama tells Devika that her news of the marriage made Anupama forget about her pain for a moment.

However, Devika says that she is scared now after watching Anupama and Anuj as they were the example that she and Dheeraj followed and now, the situation looks very bad between them.

Anupama tells Devika that life is never the same for a person and they have to face the ups and downs of it throughout the course just like the time she was broken and went through panic attacks in the past.

Anupama justifies Anuj’s condition by saying that he is emotionally destructed currently but that does not mean he does not love her anymore.

Devika says that Anuj needs to let go of his anger or else their relationship will be the one to be sacrificed.

Dheeraj thinks by himself about how he should address Anuj so that he realizes that holding onto that wound will only make it worse and fester it.

Meanwhile, in the Shah household, Pakhi says that it is her and Pari’s first Holi but the situation is not at all good this year.

Samar agrees with her and says that Anupama and Anuj would be so happy to play with them as it is their first Holi after marriage.

Kavya says that Anupama always said that they should try to take small steps toward leading a normal life whenever something tragic hits their lives as it is the only way they can hold onto whatever they have left.

Everyone agrees with Kavya and Hasmukh decides to invite Anuj and Anupama to the Holi party the next day.

Vanraj and Adhik come back with Toshu from the hospital after which Toshu uses both his hands to hold a glass and drink water.

Everyone gets happy seeing that while Toshu becomes emotional and thanks everyone for taking care of him despite his behavior toward them in the past.

At the same time, everyone in the Kapadia family is sitting quietly at the dining table when Dheeraj starts the conversation about Holi’s plans.

Anupama gets a phone call from Hasmukh where he understands that nothing is good there but still asks Anupama and the entire Kapadia family to celebrate Holi with them.

Anupama asks Anuj about what she should tell Hasmukh but he remains silent, making Devika take over the phone and tell Hasmukh that she would bring all of them there the next day.

Anuj says that everyone can do whatever they want but he is not interested in playing Holi so nobody should force him.

Anupama chews onto chillis and cries while sitting at the dining table while Dheeraj goes after Anuj.

Later, Anupama waits for Anuj to come into their room and gets happy to see him enter but Anuj does not talk to her.

Anupama holds Anuj’s arm and asks him to come to the Holi festival the next day as they cannot do anything but be happy with whatever life brings them.

Anuj squints his eyebrows as Anupama tells him that Maaya asked them not to call Anu every day as it would make her miss them.

Anuj asks Anupama how she is able to move on so easily and says that he cannot sleep in the same room as her anymore.
