Today's Anupama 21st May 2023 episode starts with Maya asking Anuj if he will leave her as she does not know why Anuj was talking to Anupama alone.

Anuj disappoints Anupama

Anuj then takes Maya to the living room to calm her down and as he makes Maya sit down, he gives her the medicine, rubbing her back.

Everyone stops their conversation in the middle as they all turn to stare at Maya and Anuj with stunned expressions.

At the same time, Anupama also appears at the entrance of the living room and she stops dead in her tracks as her eyes fall on Anuj taking care of Maya.

Maya suddenly requests Anuj to take her to their home as she is not feeling well and Anuj replies positively.

When Choti Anu also calls Maya her mother, Anupama’s heart shatters into pieces.

Vanraj asks Anupama if she will stay in the Shah house which attracts Anuj’s attention.

Maintaining eye contact with Anuj, Anupama firmly replies that she is returning to her own home.

Meanwhile, Vanraj gets a text from Maya that states if Anuj has told Anupama the truth but Vanraj types that he does not think so.

He further writes that they should also keep quiet as Anuj himself is not telling the truth to Anupama.

Anuj takes a trip to the memory lane

Afterward, when Anuj, Maya, and Choti Anu arrive in front of the Kapadia mansion, Anuj feels hesitant to enter as he gets flashbacks of him entering the house with Anupama.

As soon as he steps, Anupama’s voice starts echoing which causes Anuj to look around frantically in confusion.

He suddenly hears Anupama proposing to him and as he turns to look at her, he finds a smiling Anupama standing in front of him.

Anupama tells Anuj that if he is the heart of this Kapadia mansion, then she is the heartbeat of this house.

Anuj's smile soon transforms into guilt as Anupama informs him that he has done so much wrong so an apology will never fix this.

He tries to speak something to Anupama but nothing comes out of his mouth.

Anuj finally comes out of his destructive thoughts as Ankush asks him to join them in the living room.

As Anuj wipes the tears from his eyes, he looks at everyone with confusion for a bit.

Barkha asks Maya if she will sleep in the guest room or with Anuj in his room.

Barkha and Adhik fear getting caught

She says this because if Maya wants to stay in Anuj's room, then she has to make it ready for her since Anupama's belongings are left there.

Before Maya can reply, Anuj announces that Maya will stay in the living room and Maya also informs Barkha that it will be comfortable for her.

Maya walks away so she can make Choti Anu ready for the bed and Ankush offers Anuj to come to the office after the wedding gets over.

Anuj replies that he is also thinking of going back to the office as he needs to check accounts which causes Barkha and Adhik to stare at each other with fear.

On the other hand, Anupama enters her home with hunched shoulder asking herself how Anuj can take Maya to the same Kapadia mansion.

She tells herself that she knows Anuj wanted to speak something but Maya never lets him speak.

Whereas Anuj also apologizes to Anupama after he enters their dark room in the Kapadia mansion and he falls onto the bed with a thud.

The next day, everyone in the Shah house is discussing the sangeet function when Leela walks in with an oil, stating that it will help everyone with their joint pain.

Hasmukh teases Leela saying that he never knew Leela can create something as she always destroys everything.

At the same time, Kavya arrives at the Shah household for Samar's wedding functions and everyone requests her to stay except Vanraj who announces that Kavya can go and come as per her need.
