Today's Anupama 28th May 2023 episode starts with Anupama hugging Anuj and cupping his face in her palms to calm him down from his broken state.

Anupama says that she had no idea that Anuj is bearing so much pain inside his heart and did not even seek help from anyone in such difficult situations.

Anuj continues to say that he is Anupama's culprit and Anupama needs to punish him for his deeds.

However, Anupama does not show any expression of anger or hate.

Anupama asks Anuj to stop crying and says that whatever he did was because of the situation and fate and it was not his fault for whatever happened in the previous few days.

Anuj says that Anu's cries and Maaya's screams are still fresh in his ears and he just could not leave Anu with Maaya in such a situation as he feared that he would lose Anu forever.

To ensure that Anupama never wants to see his face again, Anuj called her and said her that he does not want to stay with her anymore.

Anuj tells Anupama that he knows nothing but to love her and that his heart can never love anyone else as it does to Anupama which makes Anupama emotional.

Anupama and Anuj come in front of God and Anupama asks Anuj why he did not speak up about his circumstances and bore everything by himself while making him the bad guy.

Anuj accepts that he has committed the mistake of leaving Anupama and deciding to stay away from her for which he is getting punished by the whole universe.

With shaking hands, Anuj tells Anupama that he got scared in that situation about the horror of being hated by her for his deeds which is why he could not bring himself to tell anything to Anupama.

Anupama says that she can hate herself but can never hate Anuj in her life while she tightly hugs Anuj and savours the warmth of their love.

Meanwhile, Maaya and Barkha get stressed about Anuj not returning and Maaya asks Barkha to call Ankush and ask him where he and Anuj currently are.

Ankush picks up Barkha's call but does not disclose anything specific, except that whatever business he and Anuj are handling is confidential in nature.

On the other hand, Anuj asks Anupama what is there in store for them in the future.

He also makes it clear that he never had and still does not have any feelings for Maaya in his heart.

Anupama tells Anuj that she does not harbour any negative feelings toward him and respects his decision whatever he decided to do at that moment as fate had already determined that for him.

However, Anupama says that she has two options in front of her, one is to wait for Anuj to return to her, and another is to move on with her dreams in her life, and she has decided to choose the latter.

Anuj remains shocked as Anupama declares that she accepts everything that happened but she would not do anything to change the current situation.

Anupama and Anuj walk out of the temple and go on their separate ways as their paths have separated now and they cannot be together anymore despite loving each other.
