Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 1st August 2023 episode starts with Neelam coming downstairs and remaining silent about Rishi's condition after Vikrant has manipulated her to cooperate with him.

Pandit Ji says that they will start the ritual of Ganth Bandhan soon while Lakshmi stares into nowhere with a gloomy face.

Meanwhile, the goons stare at Rishi and say that his ticket to the afterlife has been fixed and plan to kill him by taking him outside and dropping him into the pool.

One of the goons says that they will die first if they have to take Rishi somewhere distant but the boss says that the pool is just outside the house and they do not need to worry.

At the same time, Ayush and Shalu walk in the corridor and think about why Rishi has not reached the marriage till now when he left for his journey many hours back.

Shalu asks Ayush if Rishi is in any danger but Ayush says that Rishi called him and said that he was on his way so that possibility would not work.

Ayush says that he would try calling Rishi once more and does so but finds Rishi's phone switched off which makes them nervous.

After a bit of thinking, Ayush says that they can at least try to postpone the wedding a bit till Rishi comes and exposes Vikrant's truth in front of everyone to which Shalu agrees at once.

Meanwhile, Pandit Ji asks the Ganth Bandhan to be done and Bani does it while glaring at Vikrant but gets interrupted by Malishka who says that she wants to do it too.

Malishka says that she has the right to do that much as Lakshmi is leaving their house and going away.

On the other hand, the goons bring Rishi to the pool and kick him into the water which brings Rishi to his senses and he starts struggling to get out of the water with his hands and legs tied up.

Pandit Ji says that there is something he would like to ask, and questions Lakshmi and Vikrant if they are marrying each other willingly as many times the brides and grooms are forced.

Virendra agrees with Pandit Ji and asks Lakshmi to give an answer after Vikrant gives his consent willingly.

Lakshmi takes her time and thinks about Rishi while Kiran and Karishma say that Lakshmi will say no using this opportunity.

However, Lakshmi says replies with a yes and Virendra and Neelam do the Kanyadaan ritual for Lakshmi to proceed the wedding.

Meanwhile, Ayush and Shalu try to think about an idea to delay the wedding and a servant comes there and says that Lakshmi is the best person for this house and Rishi.

Ayush gets an idea and says that there is no time to explain the plan and they have to get to work after which he talks with someone on the phone.

At the same time, Pandit Ji asks Lakshmi and Vikrant to take their marriage rounds and Vikrant says the oaths and quickly starts the marriage rounds with Lakshmi.

Rishi frees himself from those ropes and tries to come out of the pool but the goons kick him back and say that he has to die in there as they have been given money for that.
