Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 20th May 2023 episode starts with Neelam and Karishma going out of the house to meet Pandit Ji. 

Meanwhile, Rishi comes down feeling restless for not being able to see Lakshmi taking out her Mangal Sutra. 

Rishi feels helpless for not being able to comfort Lakshmi as their relationship has changed.

Meanwhile, Laxmi puts her bangles in the drawer while Rishi is at home trying to come to terms with losing Lakshmi.

Lakshmi analyses her feelings after divorcing Rishi and cries her heart out for losing Rishi completely and calls her parents to come back to her as she is breaking apart bearing this burden. 

After a while, she composes herself thinking about getting justice for Malishka. 

Just then Aayush comes to Lakshmi to check up on her and tells her to share her feelings with him. 

Lakshmi tells him that she is fine but cannot convince Aayush. 

In the meantime, Rishi spots Neelam and Karishma talking to Pandit outside and overhears their conversation. 

Meanwhile, Pandit Ji tells Neelam that Rishi’s problem has transferred to Laksmi and her life is in danger because of this.

Neelam tells her that she already knows all this but what she needs to know is the solution to this predicament. 

The pandit tells her that he will perform a veneration for Rishi’s safety while Neelam tells her to perform the veneration for Laksmi too for if Lakshmi is in danger then Rishi will definitely go to save her and get in trouble himself. 

Later, Dadi tells Lakshmi that she is going to the temple and that she will pray for her happiness. 

Meanwhile, Rishi is shocked to hear that Lakshmi’s life is in trouble and realises Neelam’s need to keep him apart from Lakshmi. 

Rishi feels betrayed by Lakshmi after realising Neelam’s motives for Lakshmi. 

After a while, Rishi comes to confront Neelam and tells her that she has broken his heart by lying to him. 

He accuses her of not caring about Laksmi’s life whose life is in danger because of him and her. 

He reminds her of the sacrifices and efforts Lakshmi has taken for them all but he is betraying him when she needs him the most. 

He asks her why she betrayed him and Lakshmi while Neelam denies all allegations and tells him that she is not God to change Lakshmi’s Bhagya. 

However, Rishi asks her why did she not leave him alone when he was in the same position before. 

He asks her if she is trying to separate him from Lakshmi so that he stays safe by not going after her to help her.
