Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 22nd September 2023 episode starts with Dadi and Virendra coming to talk to Rishi in his room but Neelam stops them from entering.

Virendra says that they need to talk to Rishi but Neelam forbids them from doing so as she knows that they will tell Rishi to go back to Lakshmi.

Dadi says that Rishi does not love Malishka to which Neelam replies that Rishi only loves Malishka and just feels empathy toward Lakshmi as Lakshmi said earlier.

Virendra says that Lakshmi said the wrong thing and they are here to explain the correct thing to the children as elders but Neelam does not allow them to go further.

Neelam says that she does not want any relationship between Rishi and Lakshmi and can do anything for that which is why she is guarding the door instead of enjoying the marriage.

Meanwhile, Rishi stares at himself in the mirror and thinks about how Lakshmi rejected his proposal in front of everyone and how dejected that made him feel.

Rishi finds Lakshmi's ring inside the drawer and takes that with him as he comes downstairs with Neelam and Karishma.

Ayush, Shalu, and Bani stare at Lakshmi standing blankly while wiping away her tears as she remembers the past she spent with Rishi and how she has to push away Rishi from herself.

Rishi comes downstairs and Sonia asks the DJ to play some music after which they start dancing and Rishi moves to the marriage mandap while staring at Lakshmi.

Malishka comes downstairs with Sonal and Karishma and they start to dance when Rishi stands up and walks to Lakshmi shocking everyone.

Rishi makes Lakshmi wear her ring and puts a garland over her head after which Lakshmi shouts at Rishi and asks him why he did such a thing.

Lakshmi says that Rishi is not acting to understand her words of leaving her alone to which Rishi replies that he loves her ardently and cannot think about living without her.

Rishi says that he wants to marry Lakshmi and asks her to accept his love as he is saying it in front of everyone without any fear but Lakshmi says that she does not want to marry him.

Malishka comes and attempts to slap Lakshmi but Rishi stops her and says that Malishka should not dare to do such a thing.

Hearing Rishi taking Lakshmi's support, Malishka loses her patience and asks Rishi to stop getting manipulated by Lakshmi as he is doing what she wants.

As Malishka insults Lakshmi's upbringing and her parents, Lakshmi shouts at Malishka and asks her to shut up as she cannot bear to hear such a thing against her parents.

Lakshmi says that she has been silent no matter what discrimination she has faced but if she was shameless and characterless as Malishka thinks, then she would have given replies to all that.

Karishma asks Lakshmi to get out of the house immediately but Ayush comes and tries to explain to Lakshmi about how she also loves Rishi and asks her to stay for his sake.

Lakshmi does not listen to Ayush and thanks him for always respecting her while Rishi requests her to accept his love as he is aware that she also loves him equally.
