Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 23rd March 2023 episode starts with Lakshmi's inner self-making her realize that she should make Malishka and Rishi's marriage happen.

She tries to find Rishi in his room, but he is not there.

Meanwhile downstairs, the priest thinks of not going with Ayush's request or else they will call his head priest and he will get caught.

So he properly finds a date for Malishka and Rishi's marriage but suddenly, Rishi comes downstairs and says that he has to announce something, especially to Malishka.

She says with a happy tone that their date is going to get fixed so he needs to complete the thing he wants to say quickly.

Rishi at first stammers but then he confesses that he loves Lakshmi while Malishka angrily says that the one Rishi loves is Malishka and she is right in front of him.

She asks him to never say such a thing as Neelam slaps Rishi and states that he has betrayed Malishka and has played with her feelings.

Lakshmi finally finds Rishi and asks him to stop speaking nonsense and holds his hand and drags him upstairs to talk things out personally.

In the room, Lakshmi says that Rishi loves Malishka and not her but Rishi says that he loves Lakshmi and he realized it just recently.

Lakshmi says that just because she saved him, he feels that he likes her.

She makes him understand that at the end of the day, he has to return to the one he loves and that is Malishka.

Rishi says that how can Lakshmi know who he loves to which she replies that he once said that Lakshmi understands him better than Rishi understands himself.

Rishi says that now he loves Lakshmi and is ready to cancel his marriage with Malishka but being a woman, she cannot destroy another woman's life, especially her dreams.

She makes Rishi understand that Rishi has to marry Malishka just like she will marry someone else.

Lakshmi says that she will make sure that Rishi fulfills Malishka's dream by marrying her and asks him to promise her that he will never say that he loves her.

Rishi finally promises as the matchmaker takes Lakshmi away because the groom's mother has liked her.

A dejected Rishi goes downstairs as the priest gives a date from the next month.

Rishi says that Lakshmi has taught him to think about his family's happiness as Malishka gets happy and hugs him.

He says that he wanted a far-away date so that he can plan a destination wedding and Rishi asks Neelam if she is happy to which Neelam says that she is only waiting for Rishi and Malishka to start their family together.

As the priest leaves, Ayush asks why he didn't do as he asked him and the priest says that his career was on its edge because they were going to call his head priest.

However, he says that he has not taken Ayush's name in front of anyone and blesses him to have a good life ahead.

Meanwhile, Lakshmi talks with the groom's mother through a call as she will meet them once they return from their trip.

The matchmaker informs Karishma about the good news as Malishka is happy about it but Rishi smells the tissue flower as he feels sad for not marrying Lakshmi.

Meanwhile, Lakshmi is also hurt but she has compromised for the better good.
