Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 26th August 2023 episode starts with Rishi admiring himself after wearing the jacket given by Lakshmi and telling himself that Lakshmi's choice is always the best.

Rishi sees Lakshmi standing behind him and gives her a flying kiss while looking at her through the mirror but he realizes that it is actually Malishka, not Lakshmi.

Malishka smiles at Rishi and asks him why he is giving a flying kiss to the mirror and proceeds to give a good morning kiss to Rishi but he stops her.

Rishi says that someone might come into the room, to which Malish asks Rishi what the problem is as they are already in love and want to marry each other.

As Malishka tries to come closer to Rishi, he says that he is not comfortable like that and Malishka stops in her advances.

Malishka says that they are not cancelling their honeymoon and compliments Rishi's outfit but her smile fades as Rishi says that it is Lakshmi's choice.

Malishka forces Rishi to take out the jacket and even attempts to cut it but Rishi throws away the scissors and tells Malishka that she only thinks about herself as a selfish person.

However, the outburst turns out to be the imagination of Malishka and she controls herself from reacting after hearing that Lakshmi has given him that jacket.

Malishka tells herself that she has to plan things out strategically and cannot get angry or else, Rishi will blame her and get closer to Lakshmi.

Neelam, Karishma, and Malishka sit for breakfast while they call the others to come to the breakfast table but Rishi says that he will join them in a bit.

Rishi waits for Lakshmi desperately and runs to open the door on hearing the doorbell which turns out to be the newspaper delivery person.

Ayush comes to Rishi and asks him why he is looking so impatient and if he is waiting for someone but Rishi does not give Ayush a direct answer.

As the doorbell rings for the second time, Rishi runs to the door being sure that it is Lakshmi this time but gets disappointed on seeing Dadi standing outside.

Rishi asks Ayush when Lakshmi is coming and is shocked to hear that Lakshmi has refused to come back to the house, leaving him heartbroken.

With a sad face, Rishi comes to the breakfast table where Malishka puts her leg out and makes Mukesh spill the tea on Rishi's jacket after which Rishi goes upstairs to change it.

After a bit, everyone is shocked to see Lakshmi at the main entrance of the house and gathers around her to talk to her.

Harleen, Virendra and Ayush are happy to see Lakshmi there but Karishma, Neelam, and Malishka rebuke Lakshmi for being shameless and coming back to their house.

Virendra says that Lakshmi is their daughter and can come into the house whenever she wants while Malishka asks Lakshmi why she has come there.

Lakshmi says that she has come to congratulate Malishka and Rishi on the marriage with a box of sweets and wishes to congratulate Rishi directly.

Malishka stops Lakshmi from meeting Rishi but Harleen asks Lakshmi to go upstairs to meet Rishi, leaving everyone shocked.

Meanwhile, Rishi mutters to himself in anger as Lakshmi does not come and is shocked to see Lakshmi standing outside the room.

Rishi thinks that he is hallucinating but soon realizes that Lakshmi is real after which he hugs her tightly.

Malishka complains about Lakshmi going to meet Rishi and Harleen tells her not to worry if she is sure that Rishi loves her.

Rishi holds onto Lakshmi and tells her that he loves her which makes Lakshmi drop the box of sweets and hug him with her arms.
