Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 4th August 2023 episode starts with Shalu getting slapped by Lakshmi as she continues to ask Lakshmi to say that she will not marry Vikrant.

Lakshmi says that Shalu has forgotten where she is standing and has crossed all limits to which Shalu says that she does not care about anything but she cannot let Lakshmi marry Vikrant.

Neelam tells Shalu that she is stepping out of her boundaries and reminds her that everything is happening with Lakshmi's consent only.

Shalu says that nothing is going on according to Lakshmi but it is Neelam whose desires are getting fulfilled which leaves everyone shocked.

Apologizing for talking like that, Shalu says that she would appreciate it if Neelam did not talk between the two sisters as Shalu has more rights to Lakshmi than her.

Neelam gets angry and asks Shalu to look around to see where she is standing and how Lakshmi is groomed from head to toe but Harleen stops Neelam from further speaking and says that they should not talk between the sisters.

Meanwhile, the goons watch no movement outside the water and assume that Rishi is dead while one of them says that they need extra payment because of the fight Rishi put up.

The boss says that Rishi cannot die so easily to which his men tell him that it is nearly impossible for a person to breathe for so long under the water.

However, Rishi still manages to stop his breath and thinks about how he can get out of the pool as he can't die without saving Lakshmi's life.

Rishi tries to pull out the drainage loophole so that all the water gets sucked and he survives but the loophole does not seem to come out.

Back at the wedding, Shalu asks Lakshmi if she believes in Rishi or not which makes Lakshmi go silent.

Vikrant says that all of them are continuously accusing his character when he has proven several times that he is nothing as they think but Shalu asks him to keep quiet.

Virendra asks Shalu to stop causing a scene and says that Rishi must have had a misunderstanding as they could not prove for once that Vikrant is not a good person.

Rano comes to Shalu and slaps her again asking her to get out of the house immediately as she is ruining her sister's marriage.

Shalu says that if Lakshmi decides to marry Vikrant now then she will not live anymore and kill herself which leaves everyone in shock.

Without wasting a minute, Shalu takes the knife from the fruit basket and places it on her throat which makes Lakshmi get worried with anxiety.

Lakshmi asks Shalu to stop her madness but Shalu says that she will stop only when Lakshmi decides to cancel her marriage.

Malishka checks out the scene and sneaks from behind Shalu after which she snatches away the knife from Shalu's hand and asks her to stop the drama.

Shalu says that Malishka deliberately wants to marry off Lakshmi with Vikrant so that she can marry Rishi to which Malishka agrees at once and asks Shalu to give up.

As Shalu and Malishka start arguing with each other, Lakshmi asks both of them to stop and gives a Kasam (swear) to Shalu asking her not to cause any further scene in the wedding.

Shalu sits with Ayush comforting her while Lakshmi and Vikrant return to the mandap so that they can resume the rituals.
