Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 7th August 2023 episode starts with Lakshmi and Vikrant extending their  hands as the priest ties them with the holy thread while Malishka does their Gathbandhan.

On the other hand, Aayush, Shalu, and Bani worry as they try to think of someone who can open the door to let them out.

Aayush calls his friend Aniket and tells him to open the door but is stopped by another man who tells him that no one is allowed to open the door upon Neelam's orders.

Aniket apologizes to Aayush and leaves while Aayush informs Shalu and Bani about the guard outside the door.

Meanwhile, Vikrant tells the priest that he will not repeat the vows as it is inauspicious and he will only redo the rounds.

Lakshmi feels guilty as she keeps on thinking about Rishi while his vision keeps going to the Kalash filled with water.

Virender and Harleen notice Lakshmi's unpleasant expression while Malishka and Sonia are glad that the rounds are finally over.

When the moment arrives for Lakshmi to step forward during the rounds, she utters Rishi's name and urgently calls for help to rescue him, expressing that he's facing some trouble.

Malishka is puzzled by how Lakshmi knows and wonders about the problem Rishi might be in while he's tied up.

Lakshmi just feels something is wrong and wants to save Rishi, so she leaves the mandap.

However, Karishma stops her and accuses her of escaping the marriage with Rishi's excuse.

Lakshmi cries that she is not lying and begs Neelam and Virender to believe that Rishi is definitely in some trouble.

She tells them to trust her on this and let her go to save Rishi.

Karishma rebukes Lakshmi for lying and tells Neelam that Lakshmi is using Rishi since she knows how much Neelam cares for him.

Lakshmi pleads with them that she will marry Vikrant only once she saves Rishi and brings him here as she feels that Rishi is suffocating.

She is getting on her knees and pleads with Neelam to go and save Rishi with the promise of continuing the marriage once she brings Rishi safely.

Neelam does not believe Lakshmi and scolds her saying that she will get this marriage done at any cost while Harleen and Virender try to convince Neelam to let Lakshmi go.

Sonia and Karishma are against this while Harleen and Virender silence them.

Neelam tells them to let the marriage complete as she will agree to anything afterwards.

Rano comes forward and tells Lakshmi to at least think about her dead parents whose parenting they are questioning calling her a trickster and liar and whatnot.

Lakshmi yells that she doesn't care and declares that Rishi is her priority and that she'll rescue him.

She unties the Gathbandhan and departs, expressing that her marriage doesn't matter if she can't save Rishi first. Others attempt to prevent her from leaving.

Vikrant stops Lakshmi and assures to help once the marriage is over while Anjana tells her that she never stopped her from caring for Rishi but she requests her to get married right now.

Saloni assures Lakshmi that she doesn't hold any issues with Rishi, but the concern lies in knowing that his presence will stop the marriage.
