Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 8th April 2023 episode starts with Rishi saving Lakshmi from the water and asking her if she is okay while Sonia fumes in anger.

Rishi walks over to her and questions her about what this was.

Sonia tries to leave while Rishi grabs her by the elbow and tells her to not cross her limits and act respectfully.

Karishma tells Rishi that Sonia did right while an argument ensues between her and Rishi who supports Lakshmi.

Karishma stands up to give a sharp reply but Virendra shouts her name and makes her sit down.

Lakshmi says that she is at fault and tells the family members that she is ready for punishment.

Karishma taunts Lakshmi and Sonia says that Lakshmi might have a hidden intention in apologizing too.

Rishi tells Sonia to shut her mouth and eat while pulling out the chair that Malishka had kept for him.

He tells Lakshmi to sit in the chair and eat while Mukesh brings another chair for Rishi.

Neelam announces that a family is coming to see Lakshmi the next day and she wants it to happen since he is a very good boy.

Virendra is about to object but Neelam says that the boy is very nice and she wants it to be fixed so that she can prepare for Rishi and Malishka's marriage too.

Aayush is about to leave the table but Neelam orders him to sit back down and tells Rishi that he has to stay home the next day to see the boy.

Later, Shalu is worrying about Lakshmi and waits for Aayush's call when his call comes.

He passive-aggressively states that no one scolded Lakshmi since she apologized.

He tells her that there is another problem since another family is coming to see Lakshmi.

Aayush informs Shalu that Neelam is the one bringing the family which means that the boy is going to be very nice making it harder for them.

Shalu worries while Aayush tells her that he is there for Lakshmi and disconnects the call while Shalu informs Bani about the new news.

Further, Aayush goes to Lakshmi and tells her that he knows she is hiding her sadness behind this smile.

He holds her hands and tells her to not get married and leave the house.

Lakshmi tells him that she wants to leave the house but Aayush tells her to give him one reason to not marry Rishi.

Lakshmi states that Rishi should marry Malishka since they love each other.

However, Aayush states that Rishi does not love Malishka making Lakshmi recall the moment Rishi confessed that he loves her and not Malishka.

On the other hand, Sonal and Malishka are praising Sonia for throwing water on Lakshmi when they accidentally slip up about her not being high at the Holi Party.

However, Malishka covers up and continues demeaning Lakshmi while thinking about her marriage.

Back in Lakshmi's room, Lakshmi tells Aayush to leave but stops him again telling him that he should not talk about this to Rishi also.

Aayush gets emotional as he tells Lakshmi that she and Rishi are doing wrong and that they get to live their life only once.

He leaves while Lakshmi thinks that her Bhagya (destiny) has made the decision for her to get married and leave Oberoi's house.

The next day, Lakshmi is praying in the temple while Rishi goes to her room and looks around for him.

He complains about Lakshmi being a workaholic and goes to look for her.

Lakshmi opens the door just then and accidentally hits Rishi on the nose who starts doing drama.

He tells her that she should look into his eyes and understand his heart.
