Today's Bhagya Lakshmi 9th May 2023 episode starts with Lakshmi getting in the passenger seat of Vikrant's car and greeting Saloni and Vikrant's mother as they drive towards the temple.

Meanwhile, Harleen and Virender ask Neelam about the reason for the Tirth Yatra while Neelam says that she just wants to show her gratitude for Lakshmi and Rishi being safe.

She requests Harleen to handle all the preparations for the marriage while telling Virender to not stop her from doing something for God.

Harleen understands Neelam and tells Virender that Neelam wants to do it as a mother and tells him that they should start preparing for Lakshmi's wedding.

On the other hand, Lakshmi is donating charity packs to people while Vikrant's mother and Saloni pray that there are no more hurdles until Vikrant and Lakshmi get married.

As Lakshmi turns, a thorn accidentally pricks her leg and Saloni makes her sit while Vikrant offers to remove the thorn.

Lakshmi refuses hesitantly but Saloni tells Vikrant to do it and Vikrant removes the thorn while Saloni ties a handkerchief to the wound.

They all start leaving while a priest apologizes to Lakshmi explaining that flowers are offered to the god which is why there are thorns.

Lakshmi says it's alright since she got hurt and no one else while the priest blesses her and tells her that her husband takes good care of her.

Vikrant and others get happy while Lakshmi thinks about Rishi.

As they start walking, Lakshmi stumbles and holds Vikrant's hand but removes it immediately after realizing it.

Vikrant offers his support and even offers to get Saloni or his mother if she feels uncomfortable with him but Lakshmi refuses saying that she does not need support.

Back at the Oberoi house, Karishma asks Neelam why she has taken such a drastic step to separate Rishi from Lakshmi.

Neelam tells her that they will be back before the marriage for Kanyadan while Karishma refuses to take any part in the marriage preparation.

At the same time, Aayush asks Rishi about Lakshmi and he rushes out of the room to look for her.

Harleen bumps into him just then and scolds him while informing them that Laskhmi has gone with her in-laws to the temple.

She further taunts saying that she thought Rishi would stop Lakshmi's marriage but he won't understand why.

Aayush notices Rishi's luggage and asks her if he's going somewhere while Harleen informs him that Rishi is going to Tirth Yatra with Neelam and tells Rishi to take care of Neelam.

On the other hand, Vikrant's mother, Anjana calls Neelam and asks her if they can do Lakshmi and Vikrant's Roka the next day.

Neelam agrees happily while informing them that she and Rishi are going to the Tirth Yatra and convinces her to do the Roka without Neelam and Rishi present.

Anjana tells her that she understands and disconnects the call while Neelam tells Karishma to inform Harleen and Virender and prepare for it.

Karishma asks Neelam to tell her what is the real problem while Neelam gets emotional and reveals to her what the priest had told her about Lakshmi's Markesh dosh.

Neelam gets worried as she says that Lakshmi has still days where she will be in danger and explains that Rishi might be in danger too since he will go to save Lakshmi every time.

Karishma blames Lakshmi and agrees with Neelam's decision of taking Rishi away.
