Today's Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein 12th September 2023 episode starts with Surekha calling Isha to rub salt in her wound about not being able to attend her son's birthday. 

Isha tries to be brave but breaks apart from within on hearing the taunts in Surekha's words and how she is living a deprived life.

She also tells Isha that at Ishaan’s birthday, she has organized a party but she will not be able to wish him despite being in the same city. 

However, Isha tells her that she has already seen what Ishaan has done for her and that she can also understand her pain which is like her own because her son has also left her which is why she has taken her son away from her. 

Surekha feels angry at Isha’s taunt while Isha cries her heart after Surekha’s hurtful conversation. 

Later, the Bhosles surprises Ishaan with a midnight birthday celebration and tells him to cut the cake. 

At the same time, Isha writes a letter to Ishaan wishing him happy birthday and how she longs to wish him in person but knows that he will not accept her wishes. 

Just then Savi comes to Isha asking her what is she doing while Isha tells her that she is writing a letter to Ishaan on his birthday and she has been writing one on every birthday because it makes her feel close to him. 

Elsewhere, Ishaan gets a call a blank call from some unknown number but he does not pay much heed to it as he is busy with his family. 

On the other hand, Savi brings a cake for Isha telling her that it is her birthday as a mother too. 

Elsewhere, Reva wishes Ishaan a very happy birthday and tells Ishaan that she wants to be with him but cannot be there despite all the love she feels for him. 

The following day, Isha performs the veneration for Ishaan and prays to  God to bring her son back to her as she is tired of the distance between them.

Afterward, she gives Savi the holy sweets which Savi takes to be taken to college. 

Later, Savi presents Ishaan with a birthday card and permits him to tear it, and also offers him Holy sweets given by Isha. 

After coming back from college Savi finds that Ishaan’s birthday is being celebrated at the hotel. 

Savi decides to bring Isha to the party and goes to bring her there. 

However, Isha is not in the mood to go out but Savi convinces her saying fresh air will be good for her. 

At the same time, Durba and Anvi bring Ishaan to the party venue and surprise him with all the arrangements. 

She also tells Ishaan that now he will have to read all the messages on the screen one by one and guess who it is from. 

Meanwhile, on the way back, Savi convinces Isha to have a peek at the party going on. 

Isha hesitantly walks towards the entrance but gets transfixed to see Ishaan at the party.
