Today's Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein 1st August 2023 episode starts with Savi telling Ishaan that it does not suit him as a teacher to demotivate a student while Ishaan tells her to save her dialogues for an interview.

Rao Saheb tells Shukla to call Savi inside while Shukla ji goes out and tells Savi to go inside and wishes her all the best. 

Savi bends down and takes his blessing telling him that he is the only one to wish her good wishes. 

Afterwards, Savi comes in and wishes them Namaste which gives Ishaan an opening and he questions her for not wishing good morning, or good afternoon and treating this place like a family function. 

However, Savi tells him that she entered this room when it was half a minute left to be Noon and if she would have wished him in English he would have caught her on technicality which is why she used the culturally appropriate way to greet them.

After sitting for the interview, all the board members test Savi’s academic knowledge by asking questions one by one and Savi answers them all in a calm and collective way and impresses everyone. 

After everyone is done with the interview, Savi happily asks them if she has gotten selected as all her answers are right. 

However, Ishaan tells her that there is one more task for her and tells her to sit again. 

Afterwards, he asks her interest in college sports and if she really can pull any game or is only exaggerating to look good on the papers.

Savi tells him that she means every word while Ishaan challenges her to a match of basketball to prove herself. 

Yashwant, Rishi smiles at Ishaan’s cunningness while one of the board members reminds him that they do not normally take the interview out of the office. 

However, Ishaan tells her that they are already doing many things that are not normal in this admission process. 

He also explains to them that as this interview is for IAS, Savi’s field knowledge and competence should also be checked. 

Meanwhile, Savi tells him that he can choose games like Kho Kho and Kabaddi to test her physical fitness and knowledge instead of basketball. 

Meanwhile, Ishaan mocks her saying that she does not get to choose the questions in the exam paper. 

Later, Savi and Ishaan take their places on the basketball court while the board members sits in the audience. 

After a while, Savi tells Ishaan to explain the rules of the game if he wants her to play. 

Ishaan is amazed to hear that she does not know the game of a world-famous international level game and tells the referee to explain the rules to Savi. 

Rao Saheb and Rishi are delighted to hear that Savi isn't familiar with the game and are sure that she will lose. 

For the first few rounds, Savi watches Ishaan play and learns the game using his technique. 

Meanwhile, Ishaan gets more confident of his win. 

However, after a while, Savi starts playing and manages to score points. 

The game which was looking one-sided turns interesting when Savi begins to goal and the board members start rooting for Savi along with Shantanu. 

Meanwhile, Savi tells Ishaan that her teacher has taught her to never underestimate anyone and especially oneself. 

Ishaan grows angry on hearing Isha’s name while recalling Isha’s affection for  Savi. 

As Savi continues to gain points, Ishaan’s temper rises as well until they reach a final and deciding score.
