Today's Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein 23rd May 2023 episode starts with Sai telling them that they should go to the function and perform. 

However, Amba tells her that she does not know how people will look at them when they find out that they are Lavni dancers. 

Sai tells them that they will need to change this mentality and not think of this art less. 

She tells them to take this opportunity to bring honour to their art and not let this opportunity go to waste. 

She also tells them that if they back off from this opportunity, then this art form will die and future generations will not know about this beautiful art form. 

Sai offers to perform with them if needed and requests Amba to agree to it. 

Satya also agrees with Sai and tells Amba that they should definitely perform the function. 

Amba agrees to perform the Lavni in the function and goes to prepare for it. 

Meanwhile, Satya thanks her and asks her what will they do about the Chavan's while Sai tells him that they will deal with it when the time will come. 

Later, both Satya and Virat’s family arrive at the function where Vinayak and Savi rush to hug Savi. 

Meanwhile, Amba tells Bhavani that finally, the day has come when she is standing side by side with her because of her son and daughter-in-law.

She also tells her that she will also be performing the Lavni dance which she detests so much, in front of all these respectable people. 

Bhavani questions Virat about the despicable arrangement of showing such a dance at such a respectable function. 

However, Virat tells her that just because she has issues with Amba does not mean that she disrespects the art. 

After all the chief guest arrives, the host announces the reason for this function and introduces the chief guests. 

He also invites Sai, Satya, and Virat on the stage to get awarded and Sai lights the lamp. 

Afterward, the Home Minister awards them with a bouquet and shawl. 

After a while, Vinayak and Savi congratulate Sai and tell each other that they will both grow up to be brave like their parents. 

Just then, Virat calls Savi asking her if she will not congratulate him too and Savi rushes to hug him but goes back to congratulate Satya as well. 

Meanwhile, Ashwini and Ninad also congratulate Sai and Satya on their bravery. 

Just then, the host and his companion begin to make fun of Sai’s situation of being chummy with her current and ex-husband’s family. 

However, they do not realise that the microphone is on. 

The cabinet minister asks to call them on stage while Sai also goes there and asks permission to speak. 

Sai shames the host and all those people for having degrading thinking. 

She asks them which book in the world says that current family and ex-family cannot live in harmony. 

She shames the host who is also a journalist for dishonouring his profession by gossiping about something he has no knowledge about and unnecessarily spicing up the news. 

The host apologises to Sai for his unwarranted comment while Sai tells him that he should be sorry. 

Meanwhile, Amba blames Sai for this humiliation and is about to walk out when Virat stops her saying it will only wag tongues.
