Today's Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein 31st January 2023 episode starts with the police knocking on the door while the receptionist sees it on the camera and worries about who to listen to, Virat or the police. 

Meanwhile, Virat knocks on the door and pushes open it when Patralekha refuses to open it. 

Patralekha gets hysterical and tells Virat to get lost while Virat asks her where Vinayak is. 

Patralekha tells him that she has sent Vinayak away and will not be coming back to him because he is happy with her mother. 

She also accuses Virat of plotting behind her back to take her son away from her. 

Virat gets angry and tells her that she has only been imagining things as it is not true nor can he think of hurting her or Vinayak. 

Patralekha begins to whine for never being happy ever since she met him.

She asks him why did he not tell her about Vinayak being the same child that she bore for nine months and thanks the anonymous person who told her everything in a letter. 

Virat tries to appease her by saying he was about to tell her but the day he found out about it, it was the same day she went through surgery. 

Patralekha gets furious at Virat for telling Sai instead of her but Virat tells her that Sai found everything on her own and had given him 72 hours to him so he could tell Patralekha the truth. 

Pakhi's hysteria increases as Virat tells her that Vinayak is Sai’s son and she cannot deny that. 

Patralekha tells Virat that Vinayak is her son only and no one can take him away from her.

Just then, a knock on the door and Sai’s voice tell them that Sai has reached there as well. 

Meanwhile, Sai tells the inspector to break the door open but the police refuse by saying they cannot barge into a lady’s room in the middle of the night. 

Meanwhile, Virat tells Patralekha to tell him about Vinayak as she has been charged with kidnapping. 

Patralekha ignores all of Virat’s warnings and tells him that she will never let anyone take her son away from her. 

Patralekha points the gun at her head and tells Virat that the only way she can take Virat away from Vinayak is through her dead body. 

Virat gets scared and distracts Patralekha to try and snatch the gun from her. 

Meanwhile, Sai is at the reception threatening a jail sentence if the receptionist does not give the key.

At the same time, Patralekha and Virat's struggle results in a gunshot that scares everyone.

Virat manages to take the gun from Patralekha and promises her that he will not let anyone take her son away from her. 

Sai enters the door with the police & witness Virat and Patralekha in an embrace. 

She looks around for Vinayak and asks for him hysterically. 

Sai accuses Patralekha of being a heartless mother who is trying to run away with her child. 

However, Virat stops and tells Sai that Vinayak is not her son but it was Patralekha who has helped him adopt Vinayak.

He tells Sai that she has no right over Vinayak as she has neither given birth to him nor has brought him up so she has no right over Vinayak. 

Just then, Vinayak comes there and becomes happy to see Virat and Sai and asks them if they have come to the party too. 

However, Virat tells Veenu that he has come to take him home and tells the police that Sai only has a misunderstanding as Patralekha only came here to celebrate.

Sai returns home defeated and drained.

Just then, the power goes off and she imagines Vinayak in her home as she lights the candle.

As soon as she tried to hug him, he vanishes making her cry. 

Just then, Savi comes there asking Sai where she has been and gets worried to see tears in her Aayi's eyes.
