Today's Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein 8th February 2023 episode starts with Patralekha asking Vinayak if he would like to go to Mumbai to live there and tells him about various entertainment options the city offers. 

Vinayak gets excited and tells her that he will definitely go and the whole family as well as Savi and Dr. Aunty will all come with them to have a blast. 

However, Patralekha tells him that only Virat, and she will be going to Mumbai. 

Vinayak gets disappointed and tells her that there is no fun without family. 

Just then, Virat comes there and agrees with Vinayak. 

Patralekha angrily looks at Virat and tells Vinayak to go down to have breakfast. 

Afterward, she questions Virat for discouraging Vinayak from going to Mumbai and tells him that it is a great opportunity for him both from a career point of view and is a way to get away from Sai. 

Virat tells her that it is not easy as it sounds as he cannot uproot Vinayak and take him away from Savi and the family nor will he be happy living so far away from Savi.

Meanwhile, Patralekha tells him to think about her and Vinayak for once and use this promotion to free her from the mental trauma she is living in because she is always scared of Sai taking Vinayak away from them.

Afterward, Virat's inner self asks him if it is Savi or someone else that is stopping him from taking the transfer.

Elsewhere, Sai is at Vinayak school to volunteer her services and finds out that Patralekha has told the school to not hand over Vinayak to anyone but her or Virat. 

Meanwhile, Bhavani takes off the clothes from Vinayak’s suitcase while Ashwini tells her to wait for Patralekha. 

Bhavani gets angry and reminds her that she is the head of the house and will wait for no one. 

Sonali also makes fun of Patralekha’s fear of Sai which has made her stick to Vinayak like glue. 

However, Ashwini chides Sonali for mocking Patralekha’s fear while Bhavani asks them how they will live without their son and grandson. 

Ashwini tells her that she is an army officer's wife and is used to these transfers. 

She also taunts Bhavani for developing a new fondness for Vinayak while they have been loving him for years. 

Meanwhile, Patralekha is waiting outside Vinayak’s school and runs inside when he does not come right away. 

However, the principal tells her that Vinayak will be staying for extra classes as he has missed school. 

Meanwhile, Savi and Vinayak are sitting in the class waiting for their class to start along with a few more children, and are surprised to see Sai as their teacher. 

Sai also has an ulterior motive and tells herself that by the end of the day, Vinayak will call her "Aayi" or mother as she will tell him the truth. 

Later, Virat calls Patralekha asking her for being late, and is surprised to hear that Sai has not come to pick up Savi yet.

Virat wonders sadly that his relationship with Sai has become so strained that he cannot even ask her why she has not come to school yet. 

Meanwhile, Sai takes the class with the children and asks Vinayak to wait after the class.
