Indian Idol 14 8th October 2023 Written Update, Episode 2, New Guests Today, Selected Contestants This Week, Auditions

Sony TV is back with its iconic singing show Indian Idol which is premiering its 14th season.

The latest promo for this weekend's Indian Idol 14 (8 October 023) shows glimpses of the auditions where the judges get introduced to the new talents of the new season.

Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Kumar Sanu get nervous as to how they will be able to judge such great vocal talents.

Another promo for this weekend's Indian Idol season 14 (8-10-2023) shows a contestant named Anjana who sings the song "Uri Uri" in front of the judges in her confident voice.

Vishal says that seeing such contestants makes him feel that Indian Idol is getting its true essence back.

Indian Idol 13 8th October 2023 Written Update

Today's episode starts with the Grand Premiere of the new season of Indian Idol with new judges and new contestants.

The judges call Shivani, the first contestant of today’s episode who claims herself to be the biggest devotee of Shiv ji.

Shivani performs Duma Dum Mast Kalandar which sets the stage on fire leading the judges to compliment the melody in her voice and give her a lit buzzer.

Next comes, Muskan who chooses to sing Lata Mangeshkar’s song Jaha Pe Sawera Ho Basera Wahin which gives the audience a 90s vibe.

Muskan shares the emotional impact of her parents' separation for the past 14 years, leaving the judges deeply moved however, her powerful performance earns her a golden mic.

Next, a talented contestant takes the stage and flawlessly performs the challenging song "Ek Chatur Naar." 

Kumar Sanu is so impressed that he joins the contestant on stage and gives him a lit buzzer.

In the meantime, a flashback reveals a contestant named Aadya Sharma who cleverly sent a voice message to Shreya Ghoshal as a backup plan in case she missed her flight. 

Soon, Aadya Sharma joins the stage and mesmerizes everyone with her beautiful voice when she performs Naina Thag Lenge, proving to everyone that she’s worth the wait.

Shreya Ghoshal fails to resist giving Aadya a golden mic when Aadya urges her to perform a song with her onstage.

The next comes, Pawan Nagar who claims himself to be the biggest fan of Shreya and compliments her eyes while making arrangements for his harmonium.

He delivers an incredible rendition of Mere Rashke Qamar, showcasing his unique vocal range, thus leaving the judges in awe.

A clip reveals his inspiring journey, which moves Shreya to offer her support and give him a golden ticket for his bright future.

Aafaq Shaqi takes the stage next and requests to sing "Sochenge Tumhe Pyar" without the accompanying band.

However, the judges encourage Aafaq to overcome his fear and perform the song with the background music, ultimately earning him a golden ticket.

Further, Shivam's unique and vibrating voice bring laughter to the judges, and is not selected.

On the other hand, Aahana's performance lacked perfection, resulting in her rejection as well.
