Today's Katha Ankahee 17th May 2023 episode starts with Amrita asking Viaan teasingly if he does not want to reveal the name of the girl.

She suddenly feels a cramp in her belly and Viaan informs Amrita that it is a fake labor that happens during the pregnancy.

Amrita gets surprised to find Viaan so knowledgeable about pregnancy and again teases Viaan to reveal the name of the lucky one.

He tells Amrita that his lead architect Katha has told him that he has zero experience with kids during one of his projects so he just trying to understand the kids better now.

On the other hand, in Earthcon, Katha frantically calls Aarav’s school teacher as soon as she enters her cabin.

Aarav's teacher informs Katha that Aarav is constantly crying in school without telling any reason so she called Kailash to pick up Aarav.

Katha gets worried for Aarav so she tells the teacher that she will arrive there soon while she quickly packs her bags.

When Katha arrives at the school, she finds Aarav sobbing in Kailash’s lap who requests Aarav to reveal the truth to Katha about why he is crying.

However, Aarav jumps into Katha’s lap as soon as he notices her while Katha tries her best to pacify him.

Kaliash offers to take Katha and Aarav home so they can discuss what is wrong and when they arrive at Garewal mansion, Aarav finally reveals that he forgot everything as soon as he saw the question paper.

He reveals that now, he will get bad marks due to this.

Kailash along with Yuvraj starts smiling upon hearing this and Yuvraj informs Aarav that he never topped his class throughout his school life.

Katha then kneels in front of Aarav to make him understand that one test does not justify one’s ability to succeed in life but Aarav is still not convinced.

Aarav nervously states that if he does not get good marks, he will not get into a good college and will not get a good job which will result in him getting paid less so he will not be able to take care of his Mumma.

Everyone starts smiling hearing Aarav’s real concern and to distract Aarav from the stress, Yuvraj takes him to play some board games.

Meanwhile, in Amrita’s apartment, Viaan narrates a poem about Katha that explains that even though poets talk about holding hands with their partners, they should ask a one-sided lover how he holds onto the hope.

Amrita gets impressed by Viaan’s selfless love for Katha so she calmly makes him understand that one can become a good father only if he has a good heart.

She explains that if bringing a baby into the world was a ticket to good fatherhood, then every father would be a great dad.

Viaan however expresses that he is scared as his decision will always affect Katha’s son’s life to which Amrita replies that Viaan should not stress so much about it.

In the meantime, Vaniya informs Seema's doctor that she needs to get Viaan as her mentor so she can make him understand that Seema is also a victim just like him.

On the other hand, Tejji tells Farah that Viaan has moved on from his past so they do not need to worry about him any longer.

Tejji’s expression changes sour as she states that Viaan is stuck at Katha but Farah urges Tejji not to worry as Viaan will get out of this phase soon.

Meanwhile, Kailash and Kavita offer to spend some time with Aarav after school just to make sure he stays stress-free when Katha reveals that she never knew Aarav is so stressed about the exams.

Later, at home, Katha discusses with Neerja about raising the issue of putting so much pressure on the kids for marks in the next parent-teacher meeting.
