Today's Katha Ankahee 23rd October 2023 episode starts with Katha drying her hair with a smile on her face.

Raghav walks up to her, saying that Katha should argue with him so they can melt each other’s anger afterward.

Hearing this, Katha gets reminded of the time when she used to argue with Viaan over every little thing which leaves a bittersweet smile on her face.

She feels a cold shiver as she recalls how she ordered Viaan to never contact her again so she tells Raghav that people have unnecessarily romanticized the quarreling couples.

Katha even suggests that she and Raghav are mature which is why they should skip the arguing part of their relationship.

Raghav instantly realizes that Katha is still not in love with him despite being engaged which is why he should fill the void with his love.

Just then, Ruhi plays an energetic song in the living room and everyone including Katha joins everyone.

Katha suddenly gets a call from Yuvraj who informs her about Viaan returning from jail which wipes the smile from Katha’s face, replacing it with shock mixed with restlessness.

Meanwhile, Viaan is driving his car in dismay while he replays his conversation with Falguni about how Katha has moved away from this complex.

Katha is also walking aimlessly on the same road and Viaan drives passes her without noticing when suddenly heavy rain starts pouring.

As soon as a few drops fall on Katha’s face, she runs to take shelter under a shed whereas Viaan buys an umbrella from a street boy.

He opens the umbrella but it flies away from his hand only to land at Katha’s feet so Katha picks it up to hold it over her head, covering her face.

She walks out of the shed with the umbrella on while Viaan lets the rain soak his face as he assumes that the cloud must have sensed his sadness thus the rain is pouring to depict his sadness.

He looks up at the sky, saying that this rain is touching Katha’s fingers too which means nature wants to symbolize that he and Katha are always going to be together.

On the other hand, when Katha returns home with a defeated face, Raghav greets her with a warm smile and takes her to Aarav’s room to show how peacefully Aarav is sleeping.

He urges Katha to think that this home is her safe place and Katha questions him about his safe place with a curious smile.

Raghav replies smiling that Katha is his safe place which makes Katha uneasy so she quickly excuses herself from Raghav.

When she enters her room, she throws herself on the bed and starts crying in her misery, thinking about Viaan.

In the meantime, Viaan is staring at the stars, mumbling that one day the firefly will shine on him too and that he will get his firefly AKA Katha back in his life.

At the same time, Tejji enters Viaan's room to ask him about Katha and Viaan optimistically replies that Katha is just running away from the situation yet he knows very soon he will be able to melt Katha's heart.

Later, he goes to sleep with a longing look on his face, asking Katha to sleep since it is very late, and surprisingly Katha is actually going to sleep at the exact moment in her room.

The next day, Raghav urges Katha to come with him for an open mic as he does not want to get along which Katha accepts gladly whereas Viaan also informs Tejji that he has an open mic performance today.
