Today's Katha Ankahee 9th May 2023 episode starts with Neerja advising Aarav not to study longer as he has been studying since the afternoon.

Neerja's advice to Katha

Aarav clarifies to Neerja that he has to study hard because his and Katha’s reputations are at stake.

Neerja rolls her eyes after hearing Aarav’s response and at the same time, Katha arrives at her home, looking very tired.

Katha greets Katha lightly as she lies on the sofa with a grim look on her face, recalling her interactions with Viaan from the morning.

Just then, Neerja asks Katha if she is okay and Katha sits up, saying that she is perfectly fine with a forced smile.

Afterward, Katha finally reveals to Neerja that she cannot avoid Viaan at the office since he keeps appearing in front of her.

Still, the conversation gets interrupted again and again by Aarav who keeps asking Katha to give him some Szechuan sauce.

Katha gets so frustrated with the constant interruption that she switches off the TV and puts the sauce beside Aarav, advising him to finish his food first.

She then explains to Neerja that Viaan always thinks she is doing everything for him.

Neerja replies that when people are in love they think the other person is doing everything for them only.

After a long pause, Katha says determinedly that she cannot change Viaan’s narrative instead she will make sure not to get affected by Viaan’s actions.

On the other hand, Kailash tells Kavita that he wants to give the spare car to Katha as he cannot wrap his head around the fact Katha deals with all the responsibility alone.

Kavita, however, makes Kailash understand that Katha will never accept the gift.

Instead  they should wait for the right time because there will be a day Katha will need their support and Kailash observes Kavita’s words silently.

Viaan's sudden mood swing

The next day, when Katha arrives at Earthcon, her eyes fall on Viaan who is upstairs and she gazes at him intensely with indecisive emotions.

Later, in the meeting room, Ehsan jokes with everyone about him feeling old in front of these new recruits as Viaan explains that he has decided to include the recruits in the Lonavavla project.

Ehsan further jokes that he only used to ask senior girls questions whereas Viaan was the serious one.

Just then, Jeetu reveals to Viaan that Nikhil, a new recruit needs the next day off for convocation because he needs to bring his mom there with him.

Jeetu informs everyone that Nikhil’s father married two times and Nikhil is the son of the second wife which suddenly changes the atmosphere of the room from joyful to tense.

Katha and Ehsan both notice the sudden glimpse of anger on Viaan’s face but Viaan just calls other employees in for the meeting.

However, during the meeting, Viaan purposefully ignores Nikhil due to his sudden born resentment toward him which does not escape Katha and Ehsan’s eyes.

Katha shows Viaan the mirror

Later, Katha and Viaan are working in their office when Katha again excuses herself for entering Viaan’s personal space, saying that Viaan is being negligent toward Nikhil for personal reasons.

Viaan tries to reason with Katha, claiming that he did not ignore Nikhil but Katha shows him the mirror, by reminding him how he was very caring toward Nikhil before he learned about his mother.

She walks away after advising Viaan to choose if he wants to be a caring boss or a strict boss.

Viaan states that he can feel how Nikhil's family has gone through due to the second wife.

However, Katha's words make Viaan restless so he goes to meet Ehsan in the cabin and he tells Ehsan that he is going to meet Seema Dutta because he needs to finish his inner darkness.

Ehsan agrees to let Viaan go on only one condition that he will not change himself again no matter what happens with Seema because he likes this happy Viaan.

Viaan also tells Ehsan that he is just going to confess his resentment toward Seema by visiting her.
