Today's Kumkum Bhagya 22nd February 2023 episode starts with Prachi announcing that she is ready to bring Khushi into her life by adopting her, and making Dadi and Sahana happy.

Sahana squeals in happiness upon hearing Prachi’s decision and says that Prachi will finally become a mother while hugging her.

Prachi says that she needs Khushi in her life as she views Panchi in Khushi somehow and wants to protect her.

Sahana asks Prachi how she is going to adopt Prachi when Khushi already has a mother.

Dadi interrupts and says that Khushi’s current mother is not her real mother with surety.

As Sahana asks Dadi how she knows that, Dadi says that she deducted it from her experience and is sure that Lali is not Khushi’s mother.

Dadi tells Prachi and Sahana about how she saw fear in Khushi’s house on hearing her mother’s name and understood that her mother does love her at all.

Prachi face visibly gets upset as Dadi says that Lali is using Khushi for her own needs and they decide to discuss the issue further.

Before Prachi leaves for the office, she hugs Dadi tightly and thanks her for suggesting that way.

Meanwhile, Pallavi comes to talk to Ranbir in his room and says that she hugged Khushi which made her feel as if it was Panchi.

Pallavi asks Ranbir to bring Khushi to their house permanently by adopting her legally, leaving Ranbir shocked.

Ranbir reminds Pallavi that Khushi has a mother already but Pallavi says with surety that she is not Khushi’s real mother.

A mother does not behave so cruelly with their children and does not let their children work like that on the streets no matter how poor they get.

Ranbir also admits that he has never seen Lali work herself but tells Pallavi that they cannot just ask her to give away her daughter.

Pallavi is certain that Lali is not Khushi’s mother and even if she is, she is just using that girl to earn money.

After Pallavi pushes Ranbir a bit, he admits that he also sees Panchi in Khushi and wants to bring her to their house.

Ranbir promises Pallavi that he will try his best to bring Khushi with him and will talk to Lali about the matter.

Meanwhile, Prachi reaches the office and gets confused about seeing Ashok acting cold toward her while he is leaving.

Ranbir brings Khushi to the temple where Khushi spots Lali standing in front of the shop and gets scared.

However, she refuses Ranbir to get out and goes to Lali by herself who pulls her hears harshly.

Ranbir rushes to Khushi and asks Lali not to beat her up like that. As Lali asks for compensation for the loss, Ranbir pays her money and requests being kind toward Khushi.

Khushi bids goodbye to Ranbir after he gets into his car making Ranbir feels sad and uncomfortable while leaving Khushi like that.

Later, Ranbir decides to come back to talk to Lali about the adoption as he cannot leave Khushi like that.

Meanwhile, Prachi goes back to the office and bumps into Payel (an employee) while she is crying.

Ranbir tells Lali that he wants to pay for education expenses for Khushi, which makes Lali’s face light up.

However, Lali is just acting and straightaway refuses Ranbir’s offer.
