Today's Shark Tank India 2 10th January 2023 episode starts with the first brand coming on the stage to introduce themselves as "GunjanApp Studios".
GunjanApp Studios, A Child's Learning App
The founders, Sourav Gupta and Gunjan Gupta are a married couple who are America returned and started this business after they realized the importance of keeping the babies busy.
GunjanApp Studios is a child's learning app where there are a lot of games and puzzles available for them to play.
Peyush Bansal asks them about their last year's revenue and Sourav states it to be 15 crore rupees.
GunjanApp Studios demand 2.5 crores for 1% equity for a valuation of 250 crores.
However, Anupam Mittal founds a fault in their pitch and says that they are not the first app for kids in gaming and study.
ABCMouse.com and Kiddopia have been there previously and ABCEMouse itself is built by Anupam.
All the Sharks slowly opt out and advises the couple to cut their revenue earned from advertisements since rules and regulations are changing regarding ads generated on a kids-friendly platform.
The Simply Salad Food Brand From Ahemdabad
The second brand to come is The Simply Salad started by a single mother and her son from Ahemdabad, Payal Pathak.
The Simply Salad demands 30 lakhs for 10% equity with a valuation of 3 crores.
Payal's son proudly says that they have completed more than 35,000 orders to date and their monthly revenue is Rs. 4.42 lakhs with a gross margin of 64%.
Vineeta Singh and Aman Gupta offer the same deal quoted by Simply Salad and the Founders leave the stage with happy smiles as the deal closes at 30 lakhs for 10% equity, with a valuation of 3 crores.
AyuSynk Stethoscope Shark Tank Deal
The third brand is AyuSynk, founded by Adarsh Kachappilly, Tapas Pandey, and Varad Patil.
They specialize in making stethoscopes for doctors and sell them at the market price of 12,000 rupees.
Ayusynk demands 1 crore for 1.5% equity with a valuation of 66.67 crores.
Anupam questions them about how often doctors buy their devices since doctors are resistant to change.
Aman Gupta finds the prince to be a little too high while Peyush offers them a deal of 50 lakhs at 5% equity and 50 lakhs in debt @12% interest with a valuation of 10 crores.
However, Namita Thapar says she wants to play like a "Shark" and go solo and offers Ayusynk a deal of 50 lakhs at 4% equity and 50 lakhs in debt @10% interest with a valuation of 12.5 crores.
However, the healthcare brand has a counteroffer and Namita accepts the counteroffer at 50 lakhs at 3.5% equity and 50 lakhs in debt @10% interest with a valuation of 14.29 crores.
