Today's Teri Meri Dooriyaan 16th August 2023 episode starts with Sahiba walking hopelessly down the corridors of the hospital, thinking of Angad and gets distraught.

Later, she gets a call from Vandana (from Baatein Kuch Ankahi Si) who cheerfully adds that her singing went very well, but intuitively gets to know about Sahiba's sadness.

Vandana asks her to open up and Sahiba adds there were many things she had to talk about to Angad but can't due to a misunderstandings.

Vandana then tells her to not lose hope after which Sahiba feels a little good and asks her to try a career as a love guru too.

Both laugh and hang up the call while a nurse notices Sahiba and informs her about Simran gaining consciousness.

The nurse adds that Simran had been asking about Angad all the time and Sahiba after this, calls him up but to no avail.

She then sends a voice note to Angad, and from the other side, Angad hearing the voice note hurries up to Simran.

Meanwhile, in Simran's ward, Sahiba comes in and consoles a sick Simran telling her that the goons are in the police's hands now.

Sahiba is followed up by a teary-eyed Angad, console Simran adding that they'll take her to an amusement park once she gets fine.

Suddenly, Simran writhes up in pain and Sahiba quickly goes to grab the attention of the doctor.

On the other hand, Angad tells that nothing will happen to Simran saying that she'll punch all her pain away.

Soon the doctor comes in and insists everyone present in the room go out but Inder denies it.

Sahiba insists he follow the doctor and reluctantly, Inder goes out but from the ventilation he takes a look at Simran.

Sahiba, Angad and the Brar family follow the same and look at the doctors tending to a sick Simran.

Later, the doctor confirms to Simran's liver not functioning well and that the only way to heal her is an immediate liver transplant.

Simran's father stands up, adding that he'll donate his liver to Simran but is deemed unfit since he is an alcoholic.

Sahiba too, tells the doctor to do tests on her for the liver transplant to which everyone looks at her with hope.

Manbeer disagrees with Sahiba's offer but Angad brushes it off telling the doctor that he's willing to give his liver too.

All look at Seerat now who guiltily adds that even if she wants to buy she can't do the tests since she drank wine.

With time Gurleen and Jaspal come in and give their names for the tests to confirm them as Simran's donor.

Later, Angad asks Sahiba to reconsider her decision about the liver tests for Simran's liver transplant.

Sahiba misinterprets but Angad concerned about Sahiba's health, asks her to reconsider her decision gently.

The nurse then informs Sahiba and Angad to come in for the test and both go in with fast strides.

On the other hand, Manbeer looks at a sleeping Simran while Inder comes into the picture.

She asks him resentfully if she is to go in for the test too but Inder guiltily adds to not do so.

Inder compliments Manbeer's selfless nature reflected while giving away her ornaments to the kidnappers.

He adds that she is very caring but not for him, but he can be himself around her.

Meanwhile, Sahiba and Angad watch all of this Sahiba asks Angad why it is necessary for situations to become worse to bring two people closer.

Angad having no answer for Sahiba's questions sadly walks off, while Sahiba stands shaken.
