Today's Yeh Hai Chahatein 16th February 2023 episode starts with Nayantara yelling at Samrat that he brought her to this condition.

Samrat eyes Nayantara with sadness reflecting in his own eyes while Revati pats Aliya's cheek.

Samrat tells Nayan that he knew she wouldn't do such a thing and Nayantara tells Samrat that she did want to kill Aliya at one point.

Ishani & Mohit watch Nayantara with sympathy-filled faces as Nayan says that she wanted to kill Aliya and take her revenge on Samrat.

Nayantara says that she is glad they are getting divorced today as they are not compatible with each other.

On the other hand, Revathi thinks that whatever Nayantara is doing is right since she will just destroy her family.

Meanwhile, Nayantara goes to see Prem and makes him understand that she is divorcing Samrat and that Prem will be staying with her.

Prem gets confused and asks Nayan if Samrat, his father, won't be staying with them and Nayantara says no.

Prem gets sad while Nayan reminds herself to be strong for him.

She hugs Prem and tells him to call her "Nayan Maa" but Prem's innocent heart can't take away from both his parents after Mansi abandoned him.

Prem calls Chintu and expresses his sadness about being away from Samrat.

Chintu tells Prem not to worry as they will both come up with something and Prem tells him that Malti once said that if Nayan & Samrat stay together for 6 months, they will fall in love.

Meanwhile, Nayantara drops Prem at Malti's house and goes to the court for the hearing.

Outside the court, Nayantara meets Samrat who tells her that he is sorry.

He says that now both of them are free of each other and they both chuckle.

Samrat jokes that one good thing about their marriage is that Nayan has stopped wearing her old glasses.

After Samrat says sorry, Nayan says it too and he asks her if they could be friends.

Nayantara accepts his hand in friendship while Chintu tells Prem that he can convince the judge by saying that he wants both his parents.

Chintu makes an excuse to Malti and brings Prem with him to the court.

Meanwhile, the judge asks both Nayan & Samrat whether they want to get divorced or not and they both agree on it.

However, Prem and Chintu come there and the judge gets angry at Samrat and Nayantara for hiding that they have a kid.

Prem innocently reveals that he wants to stay with both of them and Samrat gets rebuked for treating Prem like an orphan.

The judge asks Samrat & Nayantara to stay together for Prem's sake while Samrat says that Prem is not even his son.

In the end, the judge advises Samrat and Nayantara to give their relationship a start for Prem as the poor kid already has abandonment issues due to the way Mansi left him.

Revthi grumbles for having to tolerate Prem along with Nayantara for another six months while Prem gets happy.
