Today's Yeh Hai Chahatein 21st May 2023 episode starts with Arjun cleaning his bike because the rain has ruined its appearance.

As he cleans it, he observes Mahima in the mirror.

He becomes stunned when he sees Mahima but Mahima walks straight into the house.

Mahima asks Nitya if Arjun wants to marry her and Nitya reluctantly replies, but adds that she never proposed since she didn't know what she truly felt for Arjun.

Mahima declares her desire to marry Arjun which makes Nitya very pleased while Arjun overhears and becomes happier.

Nitya hugs Mahima and welcomes her to the Bajwa family, while Nayantara searches the home for Mahima.

Nayantara calls out Mahima's name and Kashvi notices and asks what's wrong.

Nayantara notifies Kashvi that Mahima is nowhere to be found in the house while Kashvi reassures her that she will seek her right away.

Kashvi rushes out of the house and resolves to call Arjun and go locate Mahima together.

However, Arjun arrives and tells her excitedly that Mahima has finally consented to his proposal.

Kashvi's heart breaks when she hears this and Arjun is so happy that he makes her dance while the rain starts to pour down.

Samrat sits with lawyers the next day, muttering in wrath that he wants to teach Nayantara a hard lesson about how she can blame him for setting fire to her shop.

As Pradyuman enters, he asks if everything is okay to which Samrat responds angrily that he plans on charging Nayan with defamation because his name and reputation in society have been tainted.

Samrat then reveals to Pradyuman that that Nayan is Mahima's mother.

As the lawyers leave, Pradyuman asks Samrat why he is acting so strangely and Samrat mutters about how Nayan shattered his heart and hence she must pay the price.

Meanwhile, the house is gorgeously decorated with flowers, and Nayantara panics because she wants things to go smoothly at the Roka.

Dadi reassures her that everything will be fine by tapping Nayan on the shoulder.

However, Samrat enters the house with the police surprising everyone and Dadi fiercely questions why he has come to cause a commotion.

Samrat rages that he has come to punish the person who has falsely accused him of setting fire to their shop and demands that the person who has made this false accusation come forward.

Nayan comes forward voluntarily and informs Samrat that she is the one to blame Samrat for the fire and Samrat asks that the inspector arrest her.

The police leave with Nayan, making everyone tense at the door and Samrat before leaving the house warns Mahima to stay away from his family.

Meanwhile, Kashvi is at the library worried about her pending fees and intending to drop a year when Arjun arrives beaming.

He tells her that he is overjoyed because he will get engaged to Mahima today.

However, when Arjun inquires about Kashvi's college admission, Kashvi informs him that she will be dropping one year while Arjun nags to pay her fees.

The peon arrives and informs Kashvi that her scholarship application has been accepted by the principal, which both Arjun and Kashvi get overjoyed about.

Meanwhile, Samrat is present at the principal's office where the principal thanks Samrat for donating money, which will assist qualifying students in meeting their financial needs.

Samrat, on the other hand, urges the principal not to tell Kashvi about this while Mahima notifies Kashvi that Nayan is in jail.

They all arrive at the police station where Nitya comes to get Nayan released on bail.
