Today's Yeh Hai Chahatein 2nd January 2023 episode starts with Seema and Revathi bringing the bride downstairs and making her sit in the Mandap.

The rituals of the wedding start with the exchange of garlands between the bride and groom.

Revathi remembers that she had forgotten to bring the special dupatta from her room which Samrat agrees to bring.

On the way to bring the dupatta, Samrat collides with Nayantara who was passing by there.

Nayantara's turban gets loose and falls down, revealing her to Samrat's eyes as he catches her in her arms to prevent the fall.

Seeing Nayantara, Samrat gets annoyed as Nayantara keeps ruining his plans.

He scolds her for being over-smart and pulls her to lock her into the room but Nayantara fights Samrat's grip and runs away from there.

Samrat starts looking for Nayan among the guests while she changes her get-up into that of a waiter so that no one can recognize her.

Revathi calls Samrat in the mandap, asking him to be there while Samrat notices that Aliya is not wearing the diamond anklets he had gifted her.

As the rituals proceed, Samrat notices the heart tattoo on Ishani's hands and immediately understands that the bride is not Aliya but Ishani.

He thinks of stopping the wedding but then decides against it as if done so, the truth of Aliya not being paralyzed will come out before Mohit and he won't marry her.

Samrat calls Revthi to the side and tells her about the exchange of the brides.

Revathi doesn't believe Samrat at first, but then Samrat shows her the tattoo on Ishani's hand which makes her gasp in anger at Nayantara.

Revathi gets to know that Nayantara has come inside the house and is snooping around them only.

As Revathi goes to stop the wedding, Samrat stops her, making her understand the reason.

Revathi comes up with a new plan and tells Samrat that they will play Nayan's game with her, that is, they will change the groom who will be none other than Samrat himself.

Hearing this, Samrat gets shocked as to how he can marry Ishani when he is already married to Nayantara.

However, Revthi manipulates him into agreeing to marry Ishani by saying that marrying Nayantara was a mistake and he should let his marriage with her settle into his mind.

Revathi also emotionally blackmails Samrat after which he agrees to Revathi's plan while Revathi asks pandit ji to stop the wedding.

Seema asks her the reason to which Revathi says that they just got to know about Aliya being "Manglik" from their family priest and marrying Aliya and Mohit can affect Mohit's life.

Revthi asks pandit ji to suggest some solutions to the problem before completing the marriage of Mohit and Aliya.

The pandit suggests that they should get Mohit married to a tree first and then continue the wedding rituals with Aliya.

Mohit refuses, however, Revathi and Samrat make their way into convincing him.

As Samrat and Revathi get Mohit married to a tree, Nayantara keeps an eye on them while Ishani gets worried to whom Seema gives consolation.
