Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 12th May 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu asking Akshara and Abhinav if he can take his son home for some time. 

Akshara calls Abheer and tells him to get ready to go with Abhimanyu to his house. 

As Abheer goes to get ready, Abhimanyu apologizes to Abhinav for his lawyer's attack on his financial condition. 

However, Abhinav tells him to not worry as they were doing their work and he and Akshara are not weak but has weathered many storms together. 

After a while, Akshara tells Abhimanyu to bring Abheer back by six in the evening. 

Meanwhile, Manish asks Akshara why has she sent Abheer with Abhimanyu. 

Akshara tells Manish that they all have made her realize that she is keeping a father and son apart for six years so she has decided to be fair from now on. 

She also tells him that Abhimanyu will soon realize that upbringing is stronger than blood ties when Abheer will return to them.

At the Birla house, Manjari is over the moon to have Abheer in the house and is feeding him Halwa (sweet). 

Meanwhile, Aarohi tells Abhimanyu that he has brought Abheer at the right time when Ruhi is at school and will not disturb him.

However, Abhimanyu tells her that Ruhi does not disturb him and he is waiting for her so he can make both brother and sister friends again. 

Later, Abheer explores Abhimanyu’s room and comes to pray at the Shivling in Abhimanyu’s room. 

Both father and son play with each other in his room when Ruhi comes there and looks angry to see them together. 

Abhimanyu tells Ruhi to become friends with Abhir as he has no friends in Udaipur but Ruhi refuses to be friends and leaves the room angrily. 

Later, Aarohi is complaining to Surekha about Abhimanyu and Manjari forgetting Ruhi in favor of Abheer when Abheer comes to her and asks her to help to befriend Ruhi.

At home, Akshara is thinking about restarting her jam business and is wondering how will she make so much jam so soon when Muskaan, Swarna, and Suhasini all come to offer their family. 

Later, Abheer comes back home in time and calls Akshara out where Abhinav shows her his new rented car that he is going to drive in Udaipur as a cab driver. 

On hearing that Akshara is planning to restart her jam business, Abhinav tells her that she will not do that work anymore but will prepare for her law exam and finish what she has started. 

At home, Abhimanyu is happy to spend time with Abheer and prays to God to give him the strength to be a good father to both Ruhi and Abheer.

Later, Akshara sees Abhinav calculating the expenses they would need to raise Abheer and feels sad to see him panic. 

Meanwhile, Kairav is not able to understand Abhinav's stand for not taking their help to improve their financial condition while Suhasini tells him that Abhinav’s path is difficult but not impossible and proves that he is equally capable to turn his fortune. 

On the other hand, Abhinav feels overwhelmed to see the amount of money they will be needing in the coming years to give a good life to Abheer and wonders how will he manage all that.
