Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 14 January 2022 episode starts with Akshara crying alone in the hospital room while Manish, Kairav, and Arohi enter the room.

Anand and Harshvardhan also come to the room and inform Akshara that she will be discharged to her home with a nurse and assistance so that she can recover quickly.

Dr. Rohan comes into Abhimanyu's room and asks for his signatures on the discharge papers of Akshara, Abhimanyu hesitantly agrees. 

He asks Abhimanyu if he will not visit Akshara in her room, Abhimanyu refuses to go.

Later, the Goenkas come back with Akshara to their house, Harshvardhan and Anand assure that Akshara will recover soon with some rest.

Harshvardhan sparks the topic of marriage to others and suggests doing the Haldi function and marriage the next day.

Everyone gets surprised but agrees after some discussion, Akshara clenches her heart in pain hearing the news.

On the other hand, Abhimanyu returns to the Birla house and gets welcomed by Neil who informs him about his marriage been decided the next day.

Abhimanyu gets shocked hearing that, Harshvardhan and others come and announce that Haldi will be conducted the next morning and marriage at night.

Abhimanyu asks for Manjari, Harshvardhan tells him that Manjari will be back by the next day's evening.

Abhimanyu refuses to do the rituals without Manjari and leaves from there.

The next day, Akshara confronts Arohi about whom she was giving money and for what reason on the day of the mehndi function.

Arohi tells Akshara about the truth of her getting the seat by paying money, Akshara gets shocked to know that and tells her how wrong she did.

Arohi, however, denies admitting her wrongs and ignores Akashara's words after getting her notification of the exam being held on the same day as marriage.

Akshara rethinks about Arohi and Abhimanyu coming together.
