Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 14th September 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu looking shocked to see Akshara’s call and taking time to pick up the call and apologizes to Akshara at once. 

However, Akshara tells him that Abheer wants to talk to him and gives the phone to Abheer. 

Abheer asks them if they are fighting again while Abhimanyu tells him that they are not and asks him what he wants to talk about. 

Abheer tells him about the class party and asks them to decide on the dish. 

Abhimanyu and Akshara begin to argue on the matter which makes Abheer tell them what to make and leave in frustration. 

Later, Abhimanyu makes an excuse and cuts the call. 

On the other hand, Swarna and Surekha tell Manish and Suhasini that they do not approve of this while Suhasini tells them that they will have to talk to them about this matter. 

However, Swarna sternly refuses to listen to anything else on the matter and walks out from there. 

The next morning, Abhimanyu hands over the tiffins to Ruhi and wants to leave before Abheer and Akshara arrive but Ruhi stops him. 

Just then, Abheer and Akshara also come there and Abheer hugs Ruhi to say all the best however, Ruhi tells him that there is a sign for the best of luck and not hug. 

Afterward, Abhimanyu and Akshara finally discuss the awkward moment and tell each other that it was just a friendly hug and nothing more. 

Afterward, Akshara and Abhimanyu feel relaxed to get over their awkward moment and are about to leave. 

Abhimanyu thinks that it is better to shut the door of the past firmly.

However, Abhimanyu’s car breaks down at the last moment and Akshara offers to drop him. 

On the other hand, Manish, Swarna, Suhasini, and Surekha come to Birla's house to talk about Akshara and Abhimanyu’s relationship. 

Just then Akshara and Abhimanyu are shocked to hear Manish and tell them they are not interested in entertaining the idea. 

Meanwhile, Akshara tells Manish that she was Abhinav’s wife a few months back and she is not ready to forget him and move on in her life. 

Abhimanyu also agrees with Akshara and walks away from there.

Meanwhile, Swarna tells everyone that they should close the topic now after Abhimanyu and Akshara’s intentions are clear. 

However, Suhasini tells them that they are the ones who should decide for their children and asks Swarna what is her objection. 

Swarna reminds them that they have already been there and suffered as husband and wife and they should not overlook the fact that Abhimanyu is engaged to Aarohi. 

However, Manish tells her that Abhimanyu and Akshara will be more cautious this time, and as far as Aarohi is concerned they never get the chance to be emotionally involved with Abhimanyu. 

After a long discussion, Mahima asks Manjari what is her opinion on the matter Manjari tells them that she also wants Abhimanyu and Akshara to live as one family.

Later, Akshara is struggling to tie Abhinav’s necklace when Manish comes to her and tells her that Abhinav was the light that came to their life for a short period.

Further, he is not someone who can be forgotten but they only want her to think about Abheer and her future. 

Akshara tells him that she is not some damsel in distress who needs a man’s support to be happy in life nor can she give Abhinav’s place to anyone else. 

Meanwhile, Suhasini tells her that loneliness is the devil that will eat away her happiness with time.
