Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 17th October 2023 episode starts with Abheer telling Akshara that he is going to the temple to continue his service so that he can get his wish. 

Akshara hugs him tightly and tells him to give up his stubbornness as no mother can differentiate between her children and love them equally. 

She tells him that she will marry when the time is right but he should not hate the baby while Abheer tells her that he does not hate the baby but only wants her to marry Abhimanyu. 

He tries to leave again but Akshara tells her to stay put and runs to shut the door from outside when he struggles to leave. 

Abheer begs Akshara to let him out but Akshara stands out feeling agony at not being able to give what he most desires. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu watches from afar the struggle between mother and son and goes away.

After a while, Abhimanyu comes to Akshara and tells him that they should get married. 

Akshara grows quiet for a minute and tells him that they cannot marry without Manjari’s blessings. 

In the meantime, Manjari is feeling out of control and is adamant to go to Abhimanyu and bring him back home. 

Aarohi, Shefali, Mahima and Anand try to stop her but Manjari refuses to accept that Abhimanyu can leave her. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells Akshara that Manjari will not agree but she tells him to do everything he can to convince her. 

Just then, Mahima calls on Akshara’s phone, asking Abhimanyu to come home as Manjari is out of control. 

Manajri takes the phone and asks Abhimanyu to immediately come back home as he cannot leave her. 

However, Abhimanyu tells her that she can give up her condition and make four lives happy but Manjari remains adamant. 

However, Akshara is conflicted and does not want to put Manjari aside while others tell her that once they are married, Manajri will come along. 

Akshara also looks at Muskaan and asks her opinion while Muskaan takes her hand and makes her stand in front of Abhinav’s photo. 

Akshara and others brace themselves for some bashing but Muskaan’s words shock them all. 

Muskaan tells her that she is wrong to stop her from moving on in her life after Abhinav and that she should marry Abhimanyu.

A wave of happiness engulfs the Goenkas while Kairav tells Muskaan that he is really proud of her. 

Elsewhere, Manjari is trying to fix the broken frame when Abhimanyu comes there with a new frame and tells her not to waste her time collecting broken pieces and make a fresh start. 

Manajri is not impressed with his way of thinking and asks him if he is coming back home or not. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells her that his coming home is up to her and how they go forward from there. 

Later, Abhimanyu asks Abheer to smile as his reports are normal while he tells him that he will not smile until God fulfils his wish. 

Meanwhile, Akshara tells Abheer that his wish is granted and his parents are going to marry. 

Abheer is delighted to hear the news along with everyone else. 

At the same time, Kairav brings Muskaan to Abhimanyu who apologises to him for her rudeness and tells him to always keep Akshara, Abheer and the new baby happy. 

Later, Mahima tries to comfort Manjari, telling her that Abhimanyu cannot live without her for long and will soon come back.

At the same time, Akshara asks Abhimanyu if he regrets his decision while he tells her that he is sure.
