Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 17th September 2023 episode starts with the constable noting down the names of people while Abhimanyu and Akshara regret coming there.

On hearing about the gifts, Akshara deduces that it was all Abheer’s doing and she should have guessed after reading the messages.

Abhimanyu is about to make a call when the constable snatches the mobile from him and asks them to give their names. 

In the meantime, Mahima, Anand, and Parth are waiting in the conference room with investors while Aarohi tries to contact Abhimanyu. 

After a while, Abhir and Manish realise that Abhimanyu and Akshara have gone to the park instead of a pool. 

On the other hand, Akshara and Abhimanyu try to make the inspector understand that their son has played a prank on them.

The inspector refuses to believe them when Akshara turns all lawyerly on him and threatens to sue him. 

Just then, Abhimanyu gets a call and he requests the inspector to let him pick the call while the inspector picks up the call. 

Manish confesses to sending gifts and flowers to Akshara and Abhimanyu after finding out that they have been arrested.

Akshara comes there and scolds Abheer for interfering in adult matters. 

However, Manish tries to stop Akshara saying it is not Abheer’s fault while Akshara tells him that the fault belongs to him too. 

Afterwards, Akshara asks Manish if she has become a burden for him due to which he wants to send her away from this house. 

Meanwhile, Manish apologises to her saying he only wants to see her happy while Akshara tells him that she is complete from within and does not need any other person in his life. 

Elsewhere, Mahima scolds Abhimanyu for not having control of Abheer and that the relationships and work are suffering because of their marriage talks. 

Later, Ruhi comforts Abhir for his efforts going wrong while Abheer apologises to her for trying to make Abhimanyu and Akshara come together. 

Ruhi tells him that she has no problem with Abhimanyu and Akshara’s marriage as Abhimanyu will remain her Poppy even if he becomes his Dada. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu and Aarohi are relieved to hear Ruhi’s conversation while Aarohi tells him that he can freely accept Akshara. 

Abhimanyu tells her that he is scared to charter these waters and disbalance the harmony they have achieved in life.

The next day Akshara refuses to accompany Abheer to his parent's meeting as a punishment for his prank. 

Later, Manish finds Akshara crying with Abhinav’s picture in her hand and tells her not to be angry with Abheer as it is his fault. 

However, Akshara tells him that she is angry at herself for not being able to control Abheer as Abhinav would have. 

Manish tells her that Abhir is only trying to fill his father’s place while Akshara is scared that Abheer will forget Abhinav one day. 

He tells Akshara that Abheer will never forget Abhinav but he has accepted that Abhinav will never come back and it's time that she understands that too. 

On the other hand, Abhimanyu participates in the parent's meeting and later tells Abheer that Akshara will be back to normal soon. 

However, Abheer tells him that nothing will ever be normal now. 

He even draws a diagram to explain to him that unlike all the children he does not live like normal children.

Abhimanyu tries to tell him that they are always with him but Abheer tells him that their family is not normal because his parents live in separate houses.
