Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 18th May 2023 episode starts with Ruhi asking Aarohi to tell Abheer to not come as she does not want to meet him. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu assures her that Abheer will not come there until she gets comfortable.

Abheer tries to get Akshara to listen to him about playing but Akshara continues to be busy which saddens Abheer. 

Just then, Abheer begins to read custody papers on the kept on the table. 

However, Abhinav comes there and scolds Abheer for interfering in the elder people's business.

Abheer complains to both Akshara and Abhinav for neglecting him despite his fervent requests to play with him. 

He also tells them that he was better off in Kasauli where they use to play with him and tells Abhinav that he will go to Kasauli with Neelam Amma.

Seeing Abheer walk out, Akshara and Abhinav feels guilty and blames each other for ignoring Abheer. 

However, Akshara tells him that they have made a mistake and can rectify it too now they know what the problem is.

Meanwhile, Abheer feels angry and telling to himself that he does not want to stay there as he has no friends in Udaipur. 

Just then, Ruhi and Abhimanyu come to him and Ruhi apologizes to him for her rudeness.

Abheer gives Ruhi some gifts while Ruhi also gives him Laddoos prepared by Manjari. 

Meanwhile, Abheer asks Ruhi if he can meet her poppy and thanks Abhimanyu for making up with Ruhi.

Abheer tells him that he is his hero and he wants to grow up to be like him.

In the meantime, Abhinav and Akshara overhear Abheer and feels dreaded.

Later, Abhimanyu recalls teaching Ruhi the importance of having a sibling in the family who is each other’s best friend just like Ram and Lakshman. 

Meanwhile, Manjari also explains to Ruhi how her loving Aarohi does not lessen her love for Abhimanyu and similarly, she also loves both her and Abheer together.

Abhimanyu tells her that she can take her time to decide ad no one will force her to accept Abheer. 

After a while, Ruhi apologizes to Abhimanyu for her rude behaviour too.

Coming out of his reverie, he hears Abheer telling Akshara and Abhinav that he will not go to Kasauli anymore. 

Later, Akshara tells Abhinav that Abheer has only gotten temporarily attracted to Abhimanyu because he was angry with them but the truth is that he loves them the most. 

Meanwhile, Abhinav tells her that things are turning up and soon, he will lose his family. 

However, Akshara tells him that every child gets excited with new things but later wants to get back to their old things only because they feel comfortable with them. 

Abhinav tells her that Abhimanyu and Abheer have blood ties and can give him anything he wants besides his love. 

Akshara reminds him of the past six years when he has done everything for Abheer and has loved him unconditionally and that is what matter the most to a child, not these materialistic things.
