Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 1st February 2023 episode starts with Akshara apologising for keeping the truth to herself. 

However, Abhinav tells her that it is he who is sorry for unknowingly opening her old wounds that she has taken pains to forget about. 

He tells her that he has no idea about love and broken hearts but he can see that it is a painful process and he made her go through it twice. 

Abhinav tries to see a positive reason behind this meeting but Akshara cuts him in between, telling him that God wants to end this chapter forever and that is why brought Abhimanyu there.

She says that when she first met Abhinav, she did not know why fate wrote him in her journey but now she knows that he and Abheer are the only two people who can ride by her side, and no one else. 

Abhinav tells her that sometimes we have to look back to move forward.

He tells her that when he sees Akshara six years ago, she was trying to connect with the man she loved but he refused her which made him hate Abhimanyu with passion. 

However, after meeting him, Abhinav understand that it was the circumstances and not the people who were at fault. 

He also points to Akshara that if Abhimanyu hadn’t been good, then she would not be in so much pain after breaking up with him. 

Akshara tells her that there is no relation & no connection between them anymore. 

However, Abhinav reminds her that Abheer is the link that will keep them connected forever.

Akshara refuses to believe Abhinav and tells him that blood relations are not always important but the person who shoulders the responsibility is the real father. 

She tells him that he is Abheer’s real father and not Abhimanyu. 

Akshara reminds him of the day when she tried to tell Abhimanyu the truth but he did not listen and now if he wants to listen, then she will not tell him.

She says that only he is Abheer's father who has spent nights holding the baby and caring for him and if he does not want his responsibility, then she will go away from there. 

Abhinav tells her that she and Abheer are his life but he cannot ignore that Abhimanyu deserves them more.

Akshara tells him that Abhimanyu has left them while Abhinav supported them and should continue to hold them as he is Abhi in Abheer, not Abhimanyu. 

She tells Abhinav that she is happy in the new life that she has made with him and Abheer & will not let her past interfere with her present. 

Abhinav feels relieved to hear Akshara’s words and tells her that he believes her. 

Just then, Abheer’s ball hits the nameplate and breaks it into pieces which pull at Abhinav's heart. 

Akshara scolds Abheer but later helps him fix it. 

Abheer reminds Akshara that she tells him to not fix broken things but should throw them away. 

Akshara tells him that this nameplate is not a thing but their identity and signifies their relationship and this time, they will fix it so strongly that no one can break it. 

Elsewhere, Abhimanyu arrives home with a heavy heart and composes himself before ringing the bell. 

Just then, Ruhi comes out and hugs him tightly which makes Anhimanyu cry. 

Ruhi tells him that everyone will do her “Kashayat” to him while Abhimanyu smiles and corrects her saying it is "Shikayat" (complain).

Ruhi also tells him that she was feeling scared when he was not there but she found someone who wipes away all her fears. 

Abhimanyu looks surprised while Ruhi goes to get her iPod and puts on her headphone on Abhimanyu. 

Abhimanyu’s surprise turns to immense sadness on hearing Akshara’s voice in the headphone.
