Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 20th April 2023 episode starts with Akshara waiting for Abhinav and pacing worriedly for him to come home safely. 

In the meantime, Abhimanyu looks at the letter and tells him that he should not have given his wife a letter to him. 

Abhinav feels sheepish and takes the letter apologising in a drunken tone. 

On the other hand, Aarohi tells Manjari about Abhimanyu going for Abheer’s veneration but has been AWOL ever since. 

Manjari tells him to call Abhimanyu while Abhimanyu and Abhinav are absolutely drunk and in that drunken state, Abhimanyu’s phone gets picked up. 

Meanwhile, Aarohi is shocked to hear Abhinav and Abhimanyu together, and that too in a drunken state. 

On being asked, Aarohi lies to Manjari and is about to go and find Abhimanyu when Ruhi stops her with her problem. 

In the meantime, Abhinav and Abhimanyu dance to the song "Dola Re Dola Re" and later get down talking about taking Abheer away to the US. 

Meanwhile, Akshara is also searching for Abhinav on the road and worrying about him. 

Later, Abhinav cries and tells Abhimanyu that he is sad not because he is taking the patient away from his doctor but because he is taking a son away from his father. 

However, Abhimanyu is too drunk to understand the significance of what Abhinav just said. 

Just then, Akshara finds them together and questions them for being drunk in the middle of the night like teenagers. 

Akshara prays that he does not remember anything related to Abheer they might have discussed. 

After great difficulty, Akshara manages to put them in the car and takes Abhimanyu to his house where Aarohi is about to leave in search of Abhimanyu and hoping that Abheer's truth does not come out. 

Aarohi looks shocked to see Akshara but feels relieved to see Abhimanyu back home with Abhinav. 

Both men behave like children and refuse to leave each other until Aarohi and Akshara drag them apart. 

However, they once again hug each other while Akshara and Aarohi say their goodbye’s to each other. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu asks ABhinav to pass his letter to Abheer as a favour. 

The next morning both Abhimanyu and Abhinav wake up feeling embarrassed in their respective beds. 

After a while, Akshara comes to Abhinav with lemon water and taunts him for being drunk and misbehaved. 

Abhinav apologises to her while Akshara asks him where did he meet Abhimanyu the previous night.

However, Abhinav tells him that it was just a coincidence and that being drunk was not intentional either. 

Later, Akshara tells him to forget about these things and only focus on Abheer while Abhinav agrees and tells him that they will do everything possible to save Abheer.
