Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 20th May 2023 episode starts with Manjari snatching her hand away from Mahima as Mahima mentions that Manjari should help her in Parth’s situation.

Manjari tells Mahima angrily that she thought Mahima remembered their old relationship but she is wrong while Mahima explains that Parth is trying to be a good person and should be given a chance.

Mahima then explains that she considers Abhimanyu like her own son which is why she needs to tell Manjari about what she has seen on the road.

On the other hand, Abhinav apologizes to Abheer for being reckless while Abheer ties the bandage around Abhinav’s hand.

Abheer tells Abhinav that Abhinav has protected him by taking the blow and Abhinav replies that he will always protect Abheer since Abheer is his everything.

They then join their heads together as Abheer exclaims that Abhinav is also everything to him which brings tears to Abhinav’s eyes.

Abhimanyu gets to know about Abheer's fall at the park

Abheer wipes the tears from Abhinav’s face when Akshara walks in and a soft smile appears on her face, seeing the bond between Abheer and Abhinav.

After Abheer walks away, Akshara sits on the bed while checking Abhinav’s bandage, and both of the look at each other for some time.

Back at Birla’s house, Manjari informs Abhimanyu that Abhinav and Akshara are very careless with Abheer as Abhinav was running on the street with Abheer on his shoulder in the extreme sun despite knowing Abheer has a heart issue.

Abhimanyu tries to reason with Manjari, saying that Abhinav and Akshara are very responsible parents and they have done a good upbringing for Abheer as he is mature for his age.

Manjari does not understand Abhimanyu’s words, instead, announces that Abheer is their son so they should be the ones caring for him.

Hearing this, Abhimanyu also gets pumped up, stating that he cannot wait for his fate any longer so he needs to take matters into his own hands.

At the same time, Aarohi overhears everything from the door as she arrived there to give Abhimanyu some water.

She thinks to herself that if Abhimanyu proves Akshara and Abhinav are irresponsible, then Akshara will lose Abheer’s custody after which Akshara will not be able to live without her son.

Muskaan and Kairva's Interaction

Meanwhile, Muskan tells the man that she does not want to get married to him as she loves someone else.

The man gets angry upon hearing this & leaves the café, stating that Muskan could have told him this in a call since it was Neelam Amma who begged him to marry Muskan.

However, Kairav watches this drama from a distance and as the groom for Muskaan walks away, he walks up to Muskan, saying he has come here for her.

Muskan urges Kairav to say something else instead of feeling pity for her all the time as he has already done enough for her.

Saying this, she turns to leave when she trips and Kairav holds her in his arms while they get lost in each other’s eyes for a few seconds.

Abhimanyu arrives at Goenka House with a warning

Meanwhile, Akshara comes running down the stairs as she knows the sound of the bike very well whereas Abhimanyu also thinks he knows these footsteps too well.

As Akshara comes to face to face with Abhimanyu, Abhimanyu tells her that he thought Mr. Sharma and she are responsible parents yet they have let Abheer fall in the sun.

He further questions why Abhinav was running with Abheer in the sun despite knowing Abheer’s heart condition.

Akshara announces that she will not explain Abhinav’s fatherhood to anyone while she recalls Abhinav’s desperation to get some money to save Abheer.

Akshara even states that not all love is like Abhimanyu's selfish and self-centered, some bring two broken people together to join them.

Abhimanyu replies that he loves his son very much so now he is going to do everything to get him back.

After Abhimanyu leaves from there, Akshara turns to face her family members and Manish announces that he will go talk to Birla's family since this matter has become between two families.
