Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 20th November 2023 episode starts with Ruhi inquiring about the gift and Surekha tells her that it's from the Poddar's and they have asked for her hand in marriage for Rohit.

Manish asks Ruhi why she isn't interested in marrying Rohit to which she replies that she loves someone else.

Manish asks her about her lover and Ruhi says that it's still a beginning and asks them to give some time before disclosing or deciding anything.

Meanwhile Arman sends Ruhi a voice note that after his important case, he'll take her out on their first date and thinks to himself that he'll propose to Ruhi on the same day.

Manish asks Swarna whether she knew about this and asks her why she's worried.

Swarna replies that she's afraid of such a passionate love as its sharp edges cut through anything.

Manish concludes that love is like a kite String that cuts the one holding its string.

Swarna says that she has witnessed this same kind of love with Arohi and is scared.

Surekha hopes that Ruhi's fate shouldn't be like Arohi and she shouldn't face what Arohi did.

Meanwhile Ruhi listens to the voice note and teases him about putting law before him and they share a romantic banter about it.

Ruhi tells Arman that she has talked to her family members about them and asked for time.

Just then, Vidya comes and tells Arman that Daadisa is going to announce some special news at the diner but she decides to tell him first.

Vidya tells Arman that Rohit's going to get married and Arman expresses his joy.

Vidya is about to show Arman the bride-to-be's picture but is interrupted by Daadisa calling and leaving.

Back in Mussoorie, Abhira is clicking some tourists' pictures when she hears someone crying and finds out it's Yuvraj who holds her hand and doesn't leave, creating a scene on the street.

The tourist comes and helps Ruhi escape from Yuvraj's grasp, and Akshara comes and holds Abhira.

Yuvraj's driver comes and takes a drunk Yuvraj with him.

In a split second, Yuvraj's car hits the tourist who helped her to escape earlier.

Abhira rushes towards Yuvraj's car but he drives away.

Akshara calls Abhira and the man is taken to hospital where he's declared dead while his wife blames Abhira for his husband's death.

Akshara gets furious and reaches Yuvraj's house with the cops and tells Jagraj to hand over his murderer's son to the police.

Jagraj tells the cops that Yuvraj is out with his driver from yesterday so how can he commit a murder. 

Jagraj allows the cops to search his house and that makes Akshara beleive that certainly Yuvraj isn't at home and Jagraj has hidden him somewhere.

Akshara affirms to herself and Abhira that she will not let anything bad happen to her.

Meanwhile, a festive aura surrounds the Poddar house but there's still some uneasy tension between Arman and Daadisa. 

Arman thinks to himself that all the couples are together except for his mother and father.

His thoughts are cut short by daydreaming about Ruhi.
