Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 20th September 2023 episode starts with Abheer talking to Abhinav about his and Manish’s effort in sending Akshara and Abhimanyu on a date and how it backfired. 

Just then, Manish comes there and overhears Abheer telling Abhinav to join hands with Lord Ganesh to bring Akshara and Abhimanyu together. 

Seeing Abheer worried, Manish tells him to not worry as Lord Ganesh and Abhinav will find a way to bring Akshara and Abhimanyu together. 

On the other hand, Abhimanyu just finished meeting with the investors when he got a call about a patient and offered to drop Akshara home before going to the hospital. 

However, Akshara tells him that she will come with him so he can attend to the patient first and then he can drop her off as this is an emergency. 

Parth Lies Through His Teeth

Meanwhile, Aarohi and Anand tell Parth that the prices of the oxygen cylinders are too high and that they are not buying from their old vendor.

Parth tells them that the old one was charging more than this and after the pandemic, the prices of oxygen cylinders have skyrocketed.

Just then, Parth gets delivered his new car keys and gets defensive when Aarohi looks surprised and asks him happily if he did not mention buying a new one. 

Later, Abhimanyu is driving Akshara home when he apologizes to her for snapping at her unnecessarily and thanks her for bearing with him despite his rudeness. 

However, Akshara tells him to stop making false excuses to insult her intelligence and that she will not force him to tell her the truth. 

Akshara tests Abhimanyu's Patience

Just then, Abhimanyu’s car breaks down near a Dhaba.

Abhimanyu and Akshara order food at the dhaba while the waiter looks surprised to hear the order. 

Akshara gets angry at his surprise and tells him to bring the food as they are feeling weak with hunger. 

Abhimanyu tells her that if she had eaten at the cafeteria then this would not have happened. 

Akshara realizes that Abhimanyu knew that she was waiting and still did not come. 

Glaring at him, she tells him to keep his mouth shut and calls the waiter to get the food quickly. 

Meanwhile, Kairav asks Manish what Akshara said about the location. 

Manish tells him that he only knows that they are somewhere on the highway. 

Kairav worriedly tells him that he will try Abhimanyu’s number as the network is poor on the highway. 

Meanwhile, Akshara and Abhimanyu are eating when Abhimanyu smiles seeing a heart enclosing someone’s initials engraved on the table.

Seeing him smile, Akshara thinks of approaching the subject of his marriage for Manjari’s sake. 

At the same time, Muskaan asks Kairav why is he calling Abhimanyu while Manish tells her that Akshara and Abhimanyu were together when their car broke down. 

Muskaan sarcastically tells them that they do not need to worry as Abhimanyu and Akshara will take care of each other perfectly.

No one likes her tone when Kairav warns her to be careful. 

Surekha and Suhasini tell them to not start a fight among them as they are not mature enough to think about other people's matters. 

Muskaan rudely tells Suhasini that her not speaking will not hide Abhimanyu and Akshara’s behaviour. 

Meanwhile, Akshara tells Abhimanyu that he should think about moving on in his life and give some lucky girl a chance to be with him.

Abhimanyu tells her not to talk on this matter with him while she tells him that she is his friend.

However, Abhimanyu tells her to stop it as it does not concern her.

Just then, some dancers encircle them to dance around them and push them closer while Abhimanyu and Akshara feel awkward at the proximity.

As they are about to leave, the dhaba owner tells him that there is going to be a storm and his car is still not repaired so they should spend the night there. 

Muskaan Crosses The Line

Meanwhile, Muskaan continues to malign Abhimanyu and Akshara’s relationship after hearing about staying the night together and asks Kairav why Akshara has to work with Abhimanyu. 

Kairav has had enough of Muskaan’s nonsense and drags her out when Manish and others stop him. 

However, Kairav tells them that he is done with Muskaan’s immaturity and misbehaviour with him and his family. 

She has not only maligned Akshara but has also insulted Suhasini so they are welcome to tolerate her but he is done. 

Muskaan shouts at him that he cannot be done with her as they are married and she has apologised to him.

However, Swarna tells her that her sorry is superficial and she is making the same mistake again and again.
