Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 21st December 2022 episode starts with Akshara telling the NGO’s children that she will not be able to sing in the concert but the NGO children have come home to request her. 

Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he will look after her and that she should sing for the event. 

Manjari does not want Akshara to go but Akshara insisted and tells her that it will be her last concert. 

Meanwhile, Neil is getting a panic attack thinking about Aarohi’s betrayal of her pregnancy when Abhimanyu comes to him to help him. 

Elsewhere, Nishtha, Manjari and Shefali are planning for Neil's birthday and ask Akshara about the gift options. 

Manjari misunderstands Akshara’s reluctance as her angst against Aarohi and tells her to not bother as they will take care of it. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells Harshvardhan to not act as a doctor as the medicine he is trying to give could be addictive for Neil. 

Harshvardhan looks at Abhimanyu suspiciously and asks him if they are hiding something but Abhimanyu rudely tells him to go and he will look after his brother. 

Later, Abhimanyu tells Neil that soon everything will be alright.

However, Neil is not convinced and tells him that he is going to tell the family the truth and that he cannot live with Aarohi anymore. 

Later, Akshara feels sad for Manjari who is making plans for Neil and his baby. 

Just then Abhimanyu comes there covering Akshara in a warm shawl before sitting beside her.

On hearing Manjari’s plans for the birthday, Abhimanyu tells her that Neil is planning to tell the family about Aarohi tomorrow. 

Abhi also talks about the effect of the news on would be baby but he breaks apart if that happiness is taken away from him. 

Later, Akshara asks Abhimanyu to promise her that if he is ever given a choice between choosing babies over her life, he will always choose babies. 

Abhimanyu gets angry at Akshara’s suggestion and tells her to not talk nonsense but Akshara insists as it is a possibility. 

Later, Manish is showing a special gift to Swarna and Suhasini, that he has gotten prepared for Neil while Suhasini is curious about Aarohi not going home to be with Neil on his birthday. 

Later, Aarohi tries to fib about Neil sleeping in early at night so there will be no bringing-in party. 

The next day, Shefali wishes Neil a happy birthday while Manjari complains about not being able to celebrate Neil’s birthday with pomp. 

Later, Manjari asks Neil if he has fought with Aarohi while Harshvardhan offers Neil to ask for whatever gift he needs and he will give it to him. 

Meanwhile, Neil tells them that he wants to give himself a gift this time and asks them to accept it without question. 

Just then Manish and other Goenkas arrive and wish Neil a happy birthday. 

Later, Manish tells everyone that Aarohi has gone to a gynaecologist appointment and will come late. 

In the meantime, Neil gets angry at another lie from Aarohi while Akshara and Abhimanyu stand beside him to help him control his reaction. 

Neil tells Abhimanyu that he does not want to spoil Manjari’s efforts else he would have shouted at the top of his voice about Aarohi’s truth. 

Just then Aarohi arrives home and tries to talk to Akshara but she refuses to listen to her. 

Just then Akshara gets a call from her doctor and gets shocking news. 

Meanwhile, Manjari invites Neil to sit in Veneration when Akshara stops Manjari making an excuse and asks Abhimanyu to bring Neil to the room immediately.
