Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 22nd April 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu shouting at Akshara for hiding the truth for a long time.

He tells her that he had a strange relationship with his father and how much he wanted to be a good father always.

Abhimanyu reprimands Akshara for keeping a father away from his child & vice versa. 

Akshara tries escaping while Abhimanyu tells her that even when they had a surviving child out of their twins, he was unaware of the truth.

Abhimanyu's dream of being a father!

Abhimanyu tells her that she snatched his rights while she saw all his care and concern for Abheer unknowing of their relationship.

Abhimanyu says that he didn't even know what this relationship is called while questioning her again for keeping the secret.

He swears on Mahadev that if someone saw him like this, they must have realised his pain while she is still silent.

Abhimanyu tells her that the relationship between a father and a son is a dream to him that he could not live again.

He agrees to all her complaints regarding him but states that she snatched his dream while she knew his dream of becoming a father.

Akshara tells Abhimanyu to have the guts to hear the truth out although she never wanted him to know the truth.

She tells him that he is just Abheer's biological father as it takes a lot more to be a father in the real sense.

Akshara bashes him for leaving her when she needed him the most, saying she called him to let him know about their baby but he only shouted at her.

Akshara reminds him about the phone calls she made to him but he did not hear her out and asked her to leave his life.

She blames him for his anger that separated them while she craved his presence all through her pregnancy.

Akshara tells Abhimanyu that her rights over Abheer are bigger than his desire for being his father.

Abhimanyu feels bad

She tells him about how Abhinav helped her even after she slapped him and narrates the story of how he cared for Abheer.

She shares with Abhimanyu how she was unconscious for two days post-delivery while Abhinav provided warmth to an infant Abheer.

Akshara tells Abhimanyu that Abhinav gave Abheer a new life and only he deserves to be called his father.

She states that Abhimanyu can be anything to Abeer be it his doc man, Ruhi's poppy or anything but not his father.

Akshara assures him that she will never let Abhimanyu be Abheer's father and snatches the documents file from him.

Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she and Sharmaji are right in their respective places but nobody can snatch his rights over Abheer.

Akshara bashes Abhimanyu for his idea of a relationship, telling him that he can do anything that he feels is right as she is doing what she feels to be right and leaves in her car.

Abhimanyu wonders about those six years he did not know about his son while when he knows now.

Abhimanyu dreams of Abheer!

He sees a child running with balloons in his hand while dreams of Abheer running to him and calling him Papa.

He hugs him tight and caresses him lovingly calling him his son.

Abhimanyu tells him about his love for Abheer and embraces him firmly.

However, he soom realises that it is just a dream and breaks down in the middle of the road.
